Danny flies back to the garden with more gusto than many have seen since its caterpillar days.
"I've made a friend! He's called Curt Mega and he's going to plant flowers for us! He even said he might scope out more gardens for us! He knows how to communicate. He also likes instruments and believes he may have gone to a place called hell. I don't think he's actually there since I wasn't there. He's scared of us, and there are dumb and mute bugs living inside him. He told me about his thoughts on humanity. He also explained that humans also have mates of many types. He is not happy about his want for mates that are men though, and was confused about our lack of care. He welcomes our arrival if we return!" It grabs Estate out of the air and carries her around with joy until she pulls free of its grasp.
"Lucky! This is great news!" Queen offers it a place beside her and Danny takes it.
Estate wobbles just below them. "Stop grabbing me! If you have something to say, say it Danny."
Deerhoof looks at them with a sense of peace, Deerhoof and Bee stay out of the conversation for now, they're not done sunning themselves.
Spiderslayer comes down from their slowly decaying webby perch and Danny lands in front of them to show respect. Spiderslayer is one of the leaders for their ability to fight. "This is wonderful news, Danny, you have done well. I am proud to have you in our community."
Danny hops around and touches its antennae to theirs. They've come up with ways to show emotions, as the minds of their dumb brothers and sisters lacked the space for such things before. They all had different expressions, but a few had been chosen to mean specific things. "Thank you! I'm proud of myself."
"We celebrate our new human connection!" Spiderslayer declares, and everyone begins the festivities. It's a very, very good day today.
