Self destruction is an art
And I have good hands
Bound by a death wish
I'm addicted to falling low
With every little inconvenience
I bring slashes on to my skin
I'm trapped in dreams of horrors
But I don't want the nightmares
the kind of love where you don't necessarily
f e e l
the fall, is arguably the most precious
of them all.

For some reason, the realization that maybe I didn't have to do this all alone crippled me with a swell of emotions. At first, I felt relieved that maybe there was a path that ended with a happy me, so relieved that it felt like the pressure of my whole life had lifted just enough for me to scream. Then just like that, I was crushed with the reminder that that's not my life and he doesn't love me.
I looked around me but there was nothing to see,
Except a dying down bonfire,
There is no other sound around me, except that of the sea and the crackling of the flames,
If I focused enough I could hear the sound of the waves crashing,
I could feel the breeze against my skin, brushing it ever so softly,
The wind blew against my hair as if it was caressing me,
I looked above me, and I saw the sky was full of stars,
It felt as though a million fairy lights were lit so far away lighting up the sky above me,
I stared into them for a while,
Wondering as to how they never lose their shine,
No matter how much time has passed, they’ll always lighten up the night sky,
And at that moment I felt closest to you,
For your smile is my stars in the pitch black night,
It lightens up my darkness, just like a million fairly lights so far away would,
For no matter how dark my days get,
And no matter how far we are,
Your shine will always be right there for me to see,
Like a compass, guiding me through darkness,
I looked up and saw you, shining ever so bright,
I felt your touch as the sea breeze caressed my skin,
The more the wind blew, the deeper my breaths got, and felt like I’m breathing you in,
The brighter the fire burnt, the warmer I got, as if it was telling me feel her warmth around you,
I looked at the fire, and I also saw you,
Fierce, yet peaceful
Dangerous, yet beautiful
Erratic, but warm
At that moment if felt as though all the elements on earth came together, and bought you along,
I felt like the world was telling me feel her around you,
Thats her presence, shes all yours,
And at that moment I swear I was infinite,
For you, darling, are the whole universe put together for me into one beautiful soul.

An Acquiescent Slumber
Paper planes,
And shadow games,
Are filling up the room,
Creative haste,
Internal debates,
And mornings spent on zoom.
Daisy chains,
A schoolyard game,
That fades into another,
A life this tame,
Is a fire contained,
And a longing for another.
Self-restraint,
Is bottled paint,
In the hands of an artist,
Perhaps beauty is gauged,
By the beholder,
But its the self who feels cathartic.
So embrace the cold,
Shatter the mould,
And call another number,
After a year inside,
Another subsides,
And then unto another.
Don’t turn away,
As fate dictates,
A block to stumble over,
Potential stays,
While life awaits,
In the spirit of a rover.
A flame,
Without the room to breathe,
Will quell into a slumber.
And shame,
Is just the coward’s face,
As he clings onto the summer.
