Last Wednesday night a pain flare hit and I went into typical flare mode. Thursday night left me at 10/10 on the pain scale and sobbing. I called in for meds and decided I'd better be seen. I was ready for surgery if possible on Friday because this was new, different, and the most pain I've ever felt. No surgery yet, but there were shots to the spine. If I don't feel a significant difference within 2 weeks, surgery. Y'all, it's unreal. I'm trying to keep positive. One way or another, there will be less pain I required a new spine, hip, and leg, but apparently that isn't an option. Now, meds and back to the foggiest state of mind. Morning, y'all. Pain flare ends and two pounds go with it. I'll take it! I have an appointment with an upper extremities orthopedic specialist this morning. Hopefully this will get me answers about my hands and wrists to start. I will lay it all out and there. After the unproductive rheumy appointments, this will be helpful. "Take Tylenol" is not acceptable for this amount of pain. Here's to Tuesday. May yours be a good one. Bosco update: Still waiting to see if surgery and amputation is needed. Hopeful not. We may have to go to Vancouver for an MRI (to see if there’s neurological damage). A bit of a waiting and watching game. His hips are back aligned after yesterday’s manipulation, it’s really just his spine/tail, which apparently, is typical of Boston’s (and Frenchies), and not the worst she’s ever seen! He’s def not lost his appetite today, and the pain relievers are making him happy to remind me about the cookie jar. He’s still super scared of stairs, getting up on the couch, or reaching up. Thank you all for the good thoughts.
