Reincarnation

I do not believe in reincarnation,

I believe that we remain a scar, tainting our world,

As a reminder that we once existed.

In this particular case, I am a tree;

I stand tall and strong, I observe life and it's cruelties.

As I am tormented, my bark is cut into with

promises from the mouths of others.

I am damaged, I fall away - piece by piece.

My leaves leave me,

each with a memory or a dream I possess,

they die and escape to the soil below me,

for people to steal or trample on.

I am there, existant,

but I am only there to offer people shelter,

from storms and rain.

I shade and protect,

yet I remain unnoticed.

I am merely observing the lives of others,

deprived of a life of my own.

  I am just a tree.

Synchronicity at the Body Whisperer's

It's a strange thing when a random coincidence happens and you're left thinking 'that's weird; what are the chances?!'.

So I went to see the Body Whisperer (J*) today with no specific agenda. I just felt curious to visit again. He opened by suggesting I share anything that felt relevant or we could start straight into the energy work. I started to tell him of a couple of things that came to mind. His thoughts in return were astute and insightful.

As he listened, he reached for one of his business cards and started to pen something. I could just about make out the words "Clarity by Jamie Smart". Really? The third time this book has been prescribed to me in as many weeks. Perhaps it's just proving a popular book. I told J* of the coincidence and he nodded and said along the lines of good, I was in alignment. I guess I should read it and see.

We talked for some time and then I stood up for adjustments (as he refers to them). The way he works is bizarre compared to any conventional method: he sort of 'steps into' the energy field around me, uses feedback from where his hands sit on the back of my head (which sounds strange) which directs him as to where to tap on the body/energy field. He trained as a chiropractor and is well-versed in the bones and structures of the body which I find reassuring. I noticed he returned to the C7 bone in my neck again this week. It's funny how I'm still dubious of kinesiology and yet return to see a practitioner where his approach cannot marry up with my logical understanding. And yet, again, I left the session relieved, with a stronger sense of calm and commitment.
