I touched the first book, which was a portkey to another land. And when I completed the seventh book and aparated back, my heart was splinched.

Splinched || Declan and Isaac

Isaac was starting to get more and more confident with his apparation, each time he did it he was less and less worried about splinching himself. He was sure that was what it was. He had been less and less cautious each time he did it, not taking five minutes of preparation time before he apparated somewhere. That was probably it, three minutes of time thinking it through couldn’t be enough for what he had done. Hindsight of course is a beautiful thing, and if he knew that it was going to happen then he wouldn’t have done it, he would’ve taken extra precautions, he wouldn’t have made that mistake. That much he was sure of.

He apparated out of his room, he was at his mother’s apartment but she was at work and it was just him and his new step mother. He didn’t want to talk to her as that might make her think that he actually liked and accepted her, this of course wasn’t the case. Grabbing his bag and his wand he apparated, heading for Camden town, that would keep him busy for a few hours.

With a slight pop he disappeared.

A second later he was in a side street, deserted as usual, but something was wrong, immediately he felt faint. Suddenly his left arm was warm and wet? Ripping off his jacket he revealed an arm that was covered in shallow gouges, the amount of blood that was pouring down his arm made him feel weak. Apparating again was the last thing that he wanted but it didn’t seem to him that he had much choice. 

A second later he popped into the middle of the ER at St Mungo’s. He barely had time to croak “Help...” before he staggered forward and leant against the wall, weak from the blood loss and the shock beginning to hit him.

Emma Watson is breathtaking in the scene where Ron gets splinched. She's trying to be brave, trying to be brilliant, but she can't stop from shaking, from crying, from trembling. She's trying to reassure a bleeding and wounded Ron that he'll be okay, but she's also trying to reassure herself as well. 

And the way she looks at him...
