Do you ever think about what an insane run of episodes was in season 11? First we got Safe House (11x16), where the entire episode there were comparisons of Bobby and Rufus (just friends) and Dean and Sam (not even more than friends, but rather more than brothers) working on the same case and experiencing the same threats to life, to which we received two very different reactions:

Then we got Red Meat (11x17), which can practically be considered the bible of Wincest and it had such amazing comparisons as: Dean treating Sam's wound - Corbin treating Michelle's wrists

Corbin helping Michelle stay on her feet - Dean helping Sam stay on his feet

(not to mention the entire episode, we literally got a comparison not only to a romantic couple, but to Romeo and Juliet) And then there was The Chitters (11x19), where not only did Dean himself compare his relationship with Sam to a married gay couple, but we also got this super telling shot at the end:

Whoever wrote those episodes were on a mission and I'm forever grateful to them for this.

Dean seeing two married men: what’s it like settling down with a hunter? no gay person says the word gay at any point ever to describe themselves. Hellers completely ignore the beginning of the conversation that mentions "BROTHERS" ala the siren episode and that SAM is sitting right there.

The Destiel implications of Dean saying that the gay couple “fight like brothers” and then them correcting him. In season 5, he refers to Cas as like a brother to him. He clearly has a hard time differentiating familial love from romantic love because familial love is all he’s really felt.

Dean and Cas are so in love.

Crowley was here trying to tell Cas to just eject Lucifer and cas did not care until he started talking about Dean and then cas immediately agreed with what Dean was saying and said "well he has an outside perspective" SO DOES CROWLEY.

And now Dean is losing sleep because he's looking for cas.
