i think it would be super funny if cas showed up in the winchesters season two just so jensen and misha get an excuse to feverishly make out with each other under the guise of destiel

i’m putting my money on the theory that this is a parallel universe. one where john knows about hunting, henry winchester died in the 50s with the rest of the men of letters, and samuel campbell has got a full head of hair.
the theme of this silly little show is grief and loss and love and dean is picking the music. he’s driving this story and the thing that drives Dean is his family. His brother is safe and fine right? like? he’s fought that battle and won the war and that’s no longer a weight on his shoulders. but he feels like he failed cas. of course he does. this is guilt complex dean we’re talking about. so like!?!?!!!!!!!! WHEN YOU THINK OF MARRYING SOMEONE YOU THINK OF YOUR PARENTS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND ITS JOHNMARY FOR DEAN SO HES SCARED THAT HE WILL FUCK IT UP LIKE THEY DID SO HE NEEDS TO FIGURE THEM OUT SO HE DOESNT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES BECAUSE HES LOST CAS FAR TOO MANY TIMES AND HE WONT DO IT AGAIN
if the Winchesters season 2 IS "the French Mistake 2" that means
Dean will see "Robert Plant" in Jensen's phone contacts
no need to worry about Misha's GK schedule--Misha is dead! That means Dean won't get to even see someone pretending to be the Cas he knows
some other rando will have been playing Cas for 10 years?! Maybe a woman?!
Dean as Jensen has to do Jensen things -- perhaps meeting with the writers of the SPN sequel he's producing, or attending a con and answering questions about destiel. Danneel and the new actor for Cas are there too. (Jared was delayed by airport security and missed his flight.)
Dean will meet Danneel and realize that while Sam's actor is married to Ruby, a demon, he's married to Sister Jo, an angel
J2 fallout jokes because them not getting along is canon for the universe
any actor or celebrity (other than Misha) can cameo and it will make sense. I vote Karl Urban
"Jensen," meanwhile, is in Dean's heaven?!
my dream is for a Galaxy Quest "it's all real" sequence where a small group of dedicated fans (I'd like to see women and/or explicitly queer people) help Dean with SPN lore at a climactic moment
people are talking about how a mindwipe is such a lazy option for John not knowing Mary is a hunter, and I AGREE, and i am also 98% sure it's not going to be a mindwipe - at least, not between 1972 and 1973. So while we don't know if the show is going to do the 4.03/1973, this whole post is gonna assume that they are.
Though the idea of John going through repeated mindwipes is hilarious, it is kind of lazy, and Robbie Thompson, our FRIEND, isn't lazy. He's fun, he's innovative, he likes a loophole. So I found one for him.
Why do we assume that in 1973 John doesn't know Mary's a hunter? I allowed myself to puruse the episode. The only evidence I can find that might imply that is Mary saying:
MARY Okay, wait. There's things you don't know about me, John.
SUSPICIOUS! Is what I would say if I haven't read the summary for SPNWIN, which says:
But secrets run deep for both the Winchesters and Campbells
Secrets run deep? Deeper than hunting, mayhaps? This isn't the only thing that leads me to believe there will be no mindwipe between the years, for example we have no actual proof that John doesn't know about hunting. Him being confused about Dean asking about sulfur and cold spots might just be because this random stranger that may or may not be stalking him is asking him weird questions. During the diner conversation with Mary, he just offers to talk to Mary's dad about their relationship. Samuel implies during the dinner with Dean that he thinks John is a civilian, which could just be the cover Mary and John used because John is a Men of Letters and they're notorious for not liking hunters. And that's basically it for John not knowing about hunting things. There's actually a scene that leads me to believe Robbie might incorporate:
MARY runs up to JOHN and throws herself into his arms.
JOHN Hey, you – you okay?
MARY You promised you'd take me away.
JOHN Of course I did.
MARY Do it now.
Mary in the prequel wants out. She wants to leave the life. Maybe John promises to take her out of it? Come on, it'd be cute. See the country together.
Then again, I have no idea what's going to happen. Jensen said it'd be twists and turns to arrive at something instead of using the straight road. I'm excited.
something that drives me crazy is that in the winchesters at the end of the pilot dean says hes picking the music and a song that was iN THE SAME EPISODE was Walkin’ After Midnight by Patsy Cline and well 1) dean listens to patsy cline in this day and age? gay but 2) this song is literally about a lover who goes out walking at night because shes missing her lover and walking reminds her of him and hes presumably away from her and she is walking and hopinG SHE WILL FIND HIM
crazy thing about this song is that this played as mary was walking away from john right after they fought a demon and THEN . AS a demon possessed Ada. its fitting in that if youre looking at the songs meaning to be the singer is searching for someone who is away from them its a perfect parallel for how mary and john are both looking for their fathers but also theres this weird foreshadowing about how john after marys death was so hellbent on finding her killer and theres something sour in that song playing when shes walking away from him after they met for The Second Time Ever when you know theyre gonna fall in love
but also my take on how this ties into dean is that he picks the music and he picked this song for a reason and not just because it fit for john and mary . i like to think its because he listened to it and related to it in that he might still be searching for cas post 15x18
this could entirely be me trying desperately for destiel crumbs but ive learned its fine to be unhinged and desperate when it comes to supernatural so
after watching the winchesters s1 finale, what do you believe is going on with cas?
cas is still in the empty. dean will rescue him. chuck won, that's him, not jack
cas is in heaven, jack is jack and he got cas out of the empty. all's well
cas is avoiding dean because of the confession
dean is avoiding cas because he doesn't reciprocate and doesn't want to hurt him
dean is avoiding cas because he reciprocates, and well... feelings!

no idea, show me the results
Have we considered the possibility that Dean escaped fake heaven and "stole" rescued Baby from Sam's garage and that's the Impala we see in 1972? 🤔 He's going to leave Baby in 1972 so John can buy it later, right?
Since it's been established that time works differently in heaven and on earth, and time travelling and all that, maybe Sam wouldn't even notice it's gone before he dies 😂
What I am sure of is:
1. the show is going to make the point that it's always been Dean's car, which is true!
and therefore,
2. that impala is Jensen's. (Obviously!) I had to practically beg you to give me the car? Well, turns out, it's always been mine 😎
