That feel when people get upset when you say you are disabled, because you have an invisible illness. Like yes I don’t have a mobility aid but having severe chronic pain (among other things) is extremely debilitating. I’m so fatigued all the time, and have trouble finding the energy to do anything. Just because I look fine doesn’t mean that I don’t need accommodations and help…and just saying I’m disabled is easier than going into the details of my illness. I’m very open about having nerve pain but other people with invisible illnesses may not want to share that info because it’s personal and private! I don’t see why I can’t just say “I’m disabled” and get on with my day….
