From one of the authors of Perfect Holiday comes another Modern AU romcom — this time about a very different kind of season: hay fever.

Spring waves

Both the Sun and the Moon contribute to creating tides on Earth. As the earth rotates, the gravity of these objects pulls out a tidal bulge, but it changes through the month as the position of the moon changes. If the moon and sun are aligned, that produces strong tides, while if they are perpendicular, the tides are weaker. Watch how this dance plays out in this orbital simulation.

“Oh, I’m so cold,” she speaks, breaking the silence between the two that the loud blaring of the television had been previously filling. The sound of voices inside the screen had been the only thing playing to the distraction of the two in the night.

“How are you always so warm? Do you not ever get cold?” She asks, a light irritation in her voice. She wished she could be like him, more warm than cold. However, she never was.

The thoughts of walking down the street, radiating a sun-like feeling not only throughout her body but others, was a delightful jolt of daydream rushing throughout her brain. He, on the other hand, had nearly but a speck of trouble with this, as it came nothing but natural to him.

“I wish I could be like you.”

“Then stay, my love. For more than this night,” he whispers to the girl's ear, slowly dancing his fingers through her orderly hair. “I will help you find worth within your heart for you as you are.”

“Stay? If only it were possible darling. I would never part from your side.”

There is a shared glance into each other's eyes as she begins to pull away from the only man she would ever come to love. He watches as she trudges gracefully into the darkness, leaving his fiery soul ablaze.

There is no goodbye, for they know they will meet again.

They will find each other in the spring tide.
