Kal x Aurie Headcanon

That Kal is so new to the idea of being in a relationship, especially with Aurie and he doesn’t know how to act really. But one day she’s really sleepy and she’s leaning against his side, so Kal gently lowers her on his lap and he’s runs his fingers through her hair. the rest of the squad are so taken aback, because this is Kal! hello! The murder bot fighter guy! But he’s so soft and gentle with Aurie and he refuses to move an inch until she wakes up. And when she does, Kal peers down at her with such wonder, because even when she’s just woken up she’s utterly beautiful

Kal & Aurie

Aurie is small and clumsy and tries to be kind. She doesn’t like being a nuisance to the squad and she’s just really apologetic that she woke up after 200 years and stumbled into the squad’s path and lowkey fucked up their careers but Kal doesn’t give two shits. Yes she was unplanned for (lmao she sounds like a pregnancy), but no he wouldn’t change the events that unfolded for anything because it brought him her. And she was a Terran, annoying and insignificant by definition but also so infinitely prescious to him. He hated how is chest sweltered when he was near her, and how the constellations themselves couldn’t compare to the glint in her eyes and how he could hardly think straight when she was looking at him - he hated it. The weakness of love. But he’d be eternally damned if he let the squad abandon her, let her go off by herself. Kal realised he’d do anything for her to defend her and fight for her and love her, and that terrified him. That he’d burn galaxies to the ground if only she asked.
