Another Shadowrun OC! Her name is Leila Holiday, with her alias being Moth Wing. She's a nosferatu who runs to get the nuyen to pay for her found family in the Ork Underground.
And yes, I am in love with the way she smiles
More Shadowrun Questions
Thanks to an awesome turn of events, I’ve been watching a lot of Critical Role over on Geek & Sundry’s Youtube channel in my free time, and it’s gotten my interest in Shadowrun piqued yet again. I’ve been reading over the PDF copy of 5e that I have and it seems like a lot of number crunching overall- math and I don’t have the best history (lol XP)- though I assume that’s to be expected fo any tabletop. However, I’ve been wondering if it might be possible to run a game based on the more fast-and-loose/fun style that Matt seems to use for Critical Role: the rules are still there, but certain actions are considered free actions (reloading for example), and there’s more emphasis on fun than min-maxing, to name a couple of differences I see already.
Also, for my own character creation, I’ve been toying with the idea of making an Elf who has cybernetic enhancements and uses a bow. I know, I know, the old “Legolas” stereotype, but I love the idea of archery still being used in science fiction settings, and the fact that the bow has seen a resurgence in the Sixth World- and that they’re perfectly legal to carry around the Sprawl, apparently- means it still has it’s relevancy. Since it requires strength to use, I felt he should have cybernetic arms, and some occular augs to increase his accuracy, as well as some trick arrows (grapnel, incindiary, explosive, Stick n’ Shock, smokescreen/tear gas, etc). He’d have a machine pistol for suppressing fire, but the bow would be his primary weapon.
I was going to classify him as a Street Samurai, but given he doesn’t use blades, I’m not 100% sure that’d be the right term. Maybe I should give him a drone for further surveilance abilities (like a MCT Fly-Spy or a Lockheed Optic-X2), and classify him as a Rigger/Sniper build.
Also, I want him to have retractable shades like Adam Jensen from the Deus Ex franchise (only a couple more days to Mankind Divided, GET HYPE!), both for personal aesthetic taste, and for the fact that they would have flash suppressors installed in them and possible shave some nuyen/essence costs off the cybereye augments. Would these be considered cosmetic augs or just cybernetic augs? Nothing similar shows up in my PDF copy of Chrome Flesh, so I’m assuming it’s something you’d have to come up with and then clear with the GM.
