I might have gone a little crazy at San Anto Zine Fest but it was really cool meeting so many talented latinx artists.

Sinkhole Devil from my and Stevan's story in the Sleep of Reason anthology. The fur is made of tussah silk, details sculpted out of polymer clay. Stevan did the rocks at the bottom and they are so good! The little grasses are made of hair from our dog!
A little snail friend that I made for two dear friends of mine, using a snail shell they had within reach of my grabby hands.
Preview of one of my sculptures for the Sleep of Reason kickstarter. The creature’s fur is all Tussah silk, and I’ve been painstakingly applying it tuft by tuft.
While trimming this beast’s fur, I have probably inhaled, swallowed, and otherwise unwittingly absorbed a ridiculous amount of silk in the past couple of days. I can only hope that my inevitable death from silk poisoning will be considered heroic and land me a footnote in the annals of art history.
This monster is still available as one of the reward tiers in the kickstarter! But if you’d prefer to just get a paperback collection of original scary comics by a bunch of incredible artists for only $30, you can do that too!!
EDIT: OH GOSH it is in fact no longer available! Hooray! HOWEVER, I do have four other, smaller sculptures still available, and you can bet your pathetic mortal souls that they will be just as high quality.
My piece for Stitched, which opens April 13th at Clutter Gallery, in Beacon NY. The show was curated by Lana Crooks, plushmaker extraordinaire, and showcases a lot of incredibly talented artists working in soft sculpture. I admire them all and I feel honored to be part of this show!
The piece is called Other Side and it's 29" tall, making it the biggest art piece I've made in the last four years. The show is open until May 4th, so be sure to stop by and have a look.
