I love that Lyonel and Arion’s dynamic is entirely based on their own way of asking consent. Anything that isn't a given, whether romantic or sexual, Arion always asks, "Is that a request, or an order?" Because he likes giving lyonel the insensitive that he has control enough to call it an order, but he also knows lyonel respects him enough to never make it one. Permission is always given from the very beginning. It's what keeps their relationship lasting so long!

I'm wondering what would happen knowing at some point Lyonel has to have at least one daughter (and possibly a son) considering the story?Like I think based on what I've seen, Aryan would understand if Lyonel got married and have kids out of duty. Hell maybe the wife would be chill with it and it'd kind of be like Margaery Tyrell (or that meme from Parks and Rec were she's like here's my husband Lyonel and his boyfriend Aryan).

I've actually thought about this a lot, I have a lot of content about Arion that I havent posted on here but one of those things is Lyonel’s daughter! Now I'll state, I was not the first person to headcanon this, but I agree that his daughter being a bastard he legitimatized would make it even more understandable why he would literally almost get charged for treason for her. If she didn't have a legitimate claim it would be harder for her. Funny enough, Arion is responsible for naming the girl, and he initially just calls her elsbeth (yes, after his childhood lover) as a temporary name, but everyone just starts calling her it. Ironically enough, Lyonel having a child with someone else leads to them being in a feud that no one else knows about for about 8 years. Arion has no hatred for the girl though, in fact, he takes up just as much of a fatherly role to her, especially as she becomes a lady. I merely think about it like this because series Lyonel is older, and we have a few implications that he might not be lord of storms end yet. Ergo, if he did marry, it would be much later in life. And I just wrote it where he doesn't, especially because its theorized that his heir is not his son, but rather a cousins.

I also gave them a second daughter, who I wrote as Lyonel's supposed older brother's (cause he gives me second child energy) bastard daughter, rosafierre. She is Lyonel's ward, so she isnt considered a noble, and no one reveals that she's actually his brother's kid. She actually looks a little like Arion so people start assuming she's secretly his bastard.

These, of course, are just my ideals for timeline. I think it would be fun if lyonel had a wife who was completely nonchalant about it, and was like, "look, you give me a kid, and do whatever" and I know Arion would be respectful of that. He just gets mildly jealous because, as a knight, he knows he has no right to be upset at lyonel for sleeping with others, y'know? That's why they get in a fight after Lyonel brings back 11 month old elsbeth. He gets selfish, wanting to keep something for himself that doesnt belong to him. He gains a couple names over the years but one he gained as a child was "the runt of the litter" because he's the youngest, and the only child of his father's 3rd marriage. So he's used to getting the last bit of everything. Ergo why he gets jealous with lyonel.

HOLY YAP SESSION, sorry. Like I said, I've had a lot of thoughts about it.
