there’s this wild napoleon i see outside sometimes, but i’m kind of worried something might be wrong with it? are they supposed to look like this or should i call some kind of rescue organization?

Napoleons come in all different shapes and sizes! Thin enough to fall through cracks in the floor, roly-poly enough to get a second job as a bowling ball, or sometimes even violations against God's creation of such horror that the angels weep! This one falls into the last camp, but he's healthy enough!

I was going to do an art project about that once, because I think lots of people really don’t know about how serious and widespread that is. but looking at the content was just too traumatic and I got concerned about the ethical implications of showing it to other people at all. :(

this is a dilemma i feel too... on one hand, i feel like no one is really going to understand how harmful sexual practices revolving around violence and degradation often become, unless they actually witness it for themselves. after all, what is one strangers account worth, compared to actually seeing the problem for yourself? but simultaneously, i know how deeply scarring these things would be for others to see, because i know how scarring they were and are for me to see. :/

there’s also the issue that, like a lot of reactionary ideologies, these fetishes often rely on shock value to lodge themselves in people’s minds and spread, a kind of memetic process. whenever these reactionary ideas are then communicated and talked about they can potentially find a receptive host, one who will go out of their way to spread them further. so, there is a chance of accidentally popularizing these extreme sexual ideologies, even if one presents them as things to avoid, as harm to be aware of. that being said, there are already a number of individuals dedicated to spreading these ideas uncritically, with full intent to incept them into the minds of others. so if we just try to withhold the knowledge of these kinds of extreme “deep fetishes,” i fear the trend will continue towards their popularization. there has to be some way we can present information about the reactionary mindset promoted by fetishes built on abuse, violation and subjugation, while still mitigating the chance of hurting other people with these ideas.

For sure. The weird thing is I just don’t ever have much energy, even though in theory there’s nothing wrong with me... but then, if there is nothing wrong with me, why am I so exhausted all the time when I seem to not be doing half of the things other people my age do? (Or is it a myth that everyone but me manages to see their friends regularly and date (sometimes multiple people) all while working full time? Can’t rule out that possibility.)

I don’t even know what a pancreas does, which means I can probably do without it right?
