I wish they had posted her conformation shot from the other side because she has a big ole belly spot. You don’t often see pinto Standardbreds here in the US, they are a little more common in Australia.
Viktoria Blue Chip (Courtly Choice x Lilly Sweet Sue)
I can’t find a picture of Lilly Sweet Sue, but her sire, Sweet Lou does show some signs of possibly being where the color is coming from:
It’s definitely not from Courtly Choice, unless he’s hiding it really, really well:
My bet is on the dam line.
My ponies the day they first met. Tony didn’t know what to think but after he figured out she was a girl his tune changed… 🙄
They now adore each other and are quite attached to one another.
PonyBoy 😂
The Standardbred Retirement Foundation is a really good rescue organization. It seems like every other week they’re saving 10, 20, even 30 horses at a time. Some they keep, some they distribute to fosters, and others they help private owners attain before they ship to slaughter. Their website says they currently have 424 available for adoption, and their fees are less than $500. A lot of the younger horses they train or re-train themselves.
Jersey winters ❄️
2 horses racing tonight 🤞
