Since the IT fandom is sorta coming back, here’s a little reminder

Pennywise is NOT female. In fact Penny is neither male nor female. That giant spider in the book and or mini series isn’t it’s true form. Penny’s true form cannot actually be comprehended by the human mind at all. Even in the 1990’s miniseries when the losers club came back to Derry as adults Pennywise said to them, “you will only see what your mind can allow”, because everyone knows that if anyone looks at the deadlights, you’ll either float upwards with your eyes in the back of your head in a dead-like state like Beverly in the 2017 movie ,go mad/lose their sanity(with a couple of exceptions like Bill’s wife in the mini series), or die. Not to mention I’m pretty sure Maturin referred to Pennywise as his brother.

But overall, It has no gender. It is a genderless shapeshifting being/entity that has existed longer than time itself. It exists outside of our gender spectrum. That’s the whole reason why Penny is called IT in the firs place. I even looked on the Wikipedia page for IT and on there it says Pennywise’s gender is unknown. And even if Pennywise was actually “pregnant” we all know that women aren’t the only ones who can get pregnant anyways. Besides, asexual reproduction is a thing as well. However, this isn’t me trying to be mean or anything though. If you wanna interpret/headcanon Penny as female or whatever then that’s fine too. I just decided to make this post due a lot of misinformation I saw going around. Besides due to Penny being genderless, it most likely doesn’t care what pronouns or other gendered terms we use for it(ie clown husband, daddywise, ect.) either. Weather it be she/her, he/him, they/them, it/it’s. I mostly use he/him though since his clown form they mainly take is a male clown along with it’s other alias Bob Gray. Anyways, can’t wait for the Welcome To Derry prequel series to come out.
