We would find solace within each other,

For when the blackness covered the sky,

That's when we chased the little dots,

Those that carried our dreams,

The twinkling stars, so far away from us,

And yet, such was their magnificence,

Brought us closer even when,

We were otherwise separated.

Star Chasers

Stretch out a hand, reach through the clouds

Take time to peer into the unknown beyond your everyday experience

Arrange the stars in a path for you to follow

Run as fast as you can after the elusive one

Crash into Heavenly bodies while on your way

Head in every direction at once as you can't make up your mind

Allow nothing to stand in your way

See all that this world, realm has to offer yet still wonder why

Enter and exit galaxies with total ease

Run after your target getting closer and closer

Stretch out your fingers once more, just beyond your reach, keep trying one day you'll get it

We'd go to the depths of Hell for eachother.

We are Odysseus and Penelope

We've seen great sacrifice.

We are like Scarlett O'hara and Rhett Butler

We know "Tomorrow is another day."

We are Jane Eyre and Rochester

An improbable pair.

We're like Eloise and Abelard

We've written love letters in secret.

We are Elizabeth Bennett and Darcy

Drawn together by equal intellects.

We're like Pocahontas and John Smith

We come from two separate worlds.

We're Marie and Pierre Curie

Partners in love and science.

We're Mary and Percy Shelley

We share a love of the mind.

We're like Elizabeth and Robert Browning

Sharing a love of words and poetry.

We're part Bonnie and Clyde

We'll go down in infamy.

We are Han Solo and Leia Organa

Chasing the stars.

We're Buzz and Woody
