Y/N: *In a low, dramatic narrator's voice, watching Spock* The Vulcan, an island of stoic logic in a sea of chaotic emotion, moved with a singular purpose. His mission, etched into his very soul: to acquire the perfect cup of tea.

Pike: *Trying to sip his coffee without laughing* Y/N, stop narrating the crew.

Y/N: I can't help it, Captain. It's a character study. Notice the precise, economical movements. The utter lack of hesitation. This is a man who has calculated the optimal path to the replicator down to the millimeter.

Spock: I must critique you on two points. First, the objective of my 'quest' was Plomeek broth, not tea. Second for someone who claims to be a 'professional observer' you failed to observe. Had you engaged your senses rather than your imagination, the aromatic signature would have been an unmistakable clue.

Spock: Your story requires a more attentive author.

Y/N: Oh my god. He critiqued me!

La'an: He just called you a bad observer and you're happy about it?

Y/N: Happy? I'm ecstatic! He didn't just dismiss it, he engaged with it. He gave me specific, actionable feedback! This is infinitely more valuable than silent observation. The subject is editing my work! This is gold!

14 - how they feel about pda spock x gn!reader sfw headcanon prompts

at a baseline, spock isn’t strictly opposed to pda. but his comfort level is extremely narrow and carefully calibrated. he doesn’t experience embarrassment the way humans do. he won’t blush or become flustered or instinctively pull away if you get too close and touch him. yet, he’s still acutely aware of the attention it brings, which he finds… inefficient.

receiving affection in public makes him pause. his instinct is always to assess context first - who is present, rank dynamics, cultural expectations - before allowing himself to react. there’s often a half-second delay where his expression goes still while he decides what is “appropriate.”

your smaller gestures are the ones he tolerates best. standing slightly closer than necessary, your shoulder brushing his arm, your fingers lightly catching his sleeve as you walk. things you wouldn’t notice unless you were watching closely. things that only spock can feel. he insists vulcans do not experience embarrassment - but you can tell he prefers pda that’s quiet and implied.

but he definitely needs to put his patience to the test when you’re feeling extra touchy and mischievous. you only really push his boundaries off duty - when you drag him to some social gathering and you’re happy and relaxed enough to lean against him. even reaching out to take his hand or smoothing your fingers across his thigh.

spock is noticeably stiffer when others are watching. not cold, but controlled. his posture straightens, his voice becomes more measured, and his expression stays neutral. despite this, he never removes your hand. the idea of rejecting your affection would trouble him far more than enduring mild discomfort. if anything, you’ll feel his thumb make one small, deliberate movement against your knuckle. an unconscious compromise between restraint and desire.

pda overwhelms him more than it embarrasses him. at times, it feels like a completely separate language he hasn’t learned. a new set of social expectations he didn’t know he needed to follow. your affection, in private, is something he conformed to much quicker than he expected. but accepting it in public? around others? maybe even returning it in the same capacity? it feels like a skill that spock is determined to learn for you.

until he’s more comfortable with the usual human idea of pda, spock will continue to show his affection through presence. staying close to you. listening carefully when you speak. his eyes finding you instantly when you enter a room. to spock, allowing others to witness that closeness is already a considerable concession.

Finding out you're Pregnant after nearly dying (Spock)

Author’s Note: Taking request for SNW

Her head was pounding as she groaned, half awake. There was a whole bunch of noise around her as she tried to gain back consciousness. “Y/N!” She remembers someone screaming as she nearly got attacked by Gorn. She doesn’t remember who though. “Y/N stay with me, it’s gonna be okay.” Now that was Christine’s voice.

She was now in the sickbay, safe and sound as all hands were on deck. She tried to listen to her friend’s voice but felt so sleepy and in pain. “She’s falling unconscious again.” Christine called out, grabbing the scanner. Spock stood on the side, watching them work on his girlfriend.

He was the one that screamed out her name,not expecting a Gorn to knock her off her feet. Bones cracked as she hit the ground and she was knocked unconscious. Spock hated the feeling he was having and it was so bad, he watched as M’Benga scanned her body, a beeping going off.

“She’s pregnant.” He said and Spock felt his stomach drop, what if that meant she had a Gorn inside of her? That thought felt stupid since none of them saw one attack her, just graze her. “With a human?” Pike asked and M’Benga looked at him, “Half Vulcan as well.” If there wasn’t surgery to be performed, all eyes would be on Spock and not just Pike’s.

Relief flooded the Vulcan as he got confirmation that his girlfriend didn’t have a Gorn inside out of her. “How far along?” “Seems to be 12 weeks.” Christine said and Spock nodded, he was going to a dad. 

Y/N groaned as she opened her eyes, the pain still there but not as bad. Her eyes widened as she realized that she was in sickbay. She tried to sit up but a hand stopped her, “I would not do that.” She looked over to see Spock and she smiled, “You stayed in here with me?” She asked with a love sick smile.

“Every second I could, that I was not working.” He said and she laughed a little. “What happened anyways?” She asked, looking at all the IVs in her. “You almost got attacked by the Gorn. It grazed you and knocked you unconscious. You broke several bones.” He told her and her eyes widened.

“Well thank God for Christine.” She mumbled, “And M’Benga.” Spock said and she nodded. “We also found out that you are 12 weeks pregnant.” She looked over at him, “What?” She lifted the sheet to see her belly and she did look a little bigger but it was hard to tell. “Oh my God.” She mumbled and looked at Spock.

He didn’t look unhappy or upset, one could say for a Vulcan he looked happy. “How do you feel about that?” She asked, “I am not the one carrying the child, I should ask you that.” He pointed out and she wanted to roll her eyes at that. “I meant about us having a kid together.” “I believe it would be a pleasant experience to have a child with you.” If he wasn’t a Vulcan he would have smiled at her.

Star Trek TOS characters when you're on your period

small warning: I've only watched about 7 episodes of Star Trek (I'm trying to start from the beginning) but I NEED to write something for it, I'm obsessed.

Captain Kirk

Of course, he would always give you days off when you're particularly struggling with it. would rush to your quarters at the end of every day to make sure you weren't in too much pain

He's the kind of guy to do his best to spend every night and bit of time off with you when you're on your period. He's a bit of a worrier and needs tomake sure you're okay at all times. He hates seeing you in pain, but his favourite part of this time for you will always be getting to hold you in his arms, massaging your stomach or wherever your cramps are, soothing you to sleep.

McCoy

He definently has an entire cabinet full of period products that the other crew members use when they need it. Once you two got togetther, he added an entire section with chocolates and extra weighted blankets or heating pads for you. He would have you in the med bay all day long if your cramps were particularly bad. He's not really one for cuddlingwith you but would pull you aside whenver he gets free time and interrupt you with kisses on the forehead, wrist, cheek, etc. His biggest priority is making absolutely sure that you're as comfortable as he can make you

Spock

He's the one person who isn't awkward at all about this. I think he's probably done a great deal of studying on female and human anatomy, so he would think of your experience more in a logical sense. Maybe an underrated take but I think he would be more touchy with you, especially if you have bad cramps that cause you to be in constant pain. He can't stand the thought of you hurting and would show it via watching over you and giving you small Vulcan kisses.

Being himself, he Can't understand why you would possibly be embarrassed about this. Definitely the most forgiving as well; rather than most of the others giving you time off, he would want to spend more time with you-- keeping a quiet eye on you and making sure you're never in too much pain and are getting the rest you need.

Scotty

He would be more embarrassed or shy than the others when it comes to helping you out. I think he isn't really used to hearing about these types of problems but would nonetheless be very sweet about it.

would definitely make sure you never have to go on any away missions during your period and would deliver you sweets or pain killers in between his jobs.

Uhura

very very sweet to you the whole time. I don't think she usually gets breaks very often, but when she does she'll make sure to check on you (assuming you aren't on the bridge already)

Definitely the most affectionate of the crew, frequently sneaks snacks and sweets for you along with painkillers if you get bad cramps. she would show bits of affection by kissing you on the cheek every chance she gets
