" What you can't see can definitely kill you! " PLAY Magazine n26 - February, 2004.
12 year old me looking at these StarCraft units: "Waoooo they look so cool. Anyway I wonder if this will have any influence on what i'm sexually attracted to in the future"
Siiiiiiigh....we might finally be getting a StarCraft shooter and I dont even care at this point
What might have happened to force-sensitive children if Omega had never appeared on Tantis?
In Sum, I have these thoughts. Imagine that for some reason, Bad Bath avoids meeting Hemlock, or Croshair joins them in the first season, or in the second season, episode 14, they decide to hide and don't rescue Croshair, or Cid doesn't betray them. The point is that work on the Necromancer project continues.
Probably, more and more force-sensitive children will be found on Tantis. Knowing Hemlock, he'll probably want to use the children in the vault for other projects. And an idea occurred to me. Has anyone here played StarCraft and is familiar with a unit called ghosts? They were assassins with psionic abilities. Now imagine that Hemlock decides to combine the CX assassin program with the force-sensitive children in the vault and transforms selected children into assassins.
Of course, this would be quite dangerous, but with the right manipulation, it could work. Becoming an agent could be a reward for exceptional obedience. Imagine an older Eve, Jax, or Sami as Hemlock's killer. Alternatively, it could be the canonical version of the Emperor's Hands.
As a side note, I know treating the children as specimens was meant to show the empire's lack of morality, but it's a bit foolish that Hemlock didn't resort to a bit of lying and manipulation. For example, lie to the children in the vault that they have a serious illness or that this will improve their families' lives—anything that might encourage obedience. It's even more foolish considering that these children will eventually grow up.
A concept I'm working on for funsies atm
I love Mass Effect and StarCraft and for years I wondered why nobody thought to mod in the armor. It would work so well for the tech-oriented or biotic FemShep!
So I decided to start designing some myself using armor from the actual game.
Comprised/Based on:
Chest + shoulders: Liara silver alternate appearance armor
Forearms: N7 Armor (ME3 variant)
Hands: Cerberus Spirit Gloves (Namely the wrist armor and clawed fingers)
Hips: Hanhe-Kedar Hip armor/belts
Legs: Reckoner Knight Armor (minus the spiky knees)
Under armor/"blacks": EDI's White Alliance Catsuit
I hope one day to have somebody mod it into the game!

I think about Starcraft Ghost way too much for someone who's only played a cursory amount of Starcraft 2 at a game design camp over a decade ago
