'Vampire: La Masquerade - Redemption'
[PC] [SPAIN] [MAGAZINE] [2000]
"Time to break out those fake plastic fangs and dust off that snappy black cloak. Nihilistic Software is currently at work on Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption, a classic vampire PC game set to be released in November. In this dark, gothic game set in medieval Prague, players assume the role of a noble knight named Christof who is wracked with moral dilemmas after being transformed by a vampire's bite. In true roleplaying game style, the game contains magic spells, an every-evolving party, dark cityscapes and a host of choices to be made. The game will also reportedly include a game master feature in which online players will act in a role similar to the dungeon master in classic Dungeons & Dragons games. In addition, the game will have a multi-player option where players assume the roles of other characters in Christof's party." ~Wizard Magazine (October 1999, #98)

"Resistance: Burning Skies", el bombero caza-bichos
Género: FPS
Desarrollador: Nihilistic Software
Distribuidor: Sony
Plataforma jugada: PS Vita
At the dawn of the 1990s, pen-and-paper RPGs were trying to reinvent themselves by going off the beaten track. Mark Rein-Hagen, who already conceived Ars Magica, White Wolf's first success a few years prior, raised some good questions: what if the character's nemesis wasn't a powerful dragon or some other monster but rather, simply himself? What if the setting focused on internal conflict rather than classic power fantasy? Those questions would end up being at the core of his next game: Vampire - The Masquerade. A huge success at the time, V:TM puts the players in the shoes of newborn vampires discovering the joys of (un)life.
