Some Sexuality/ Gender Headcannons- TGWDLM Edition
Okay, we’re going to go through some of the characters in TGWDLM and I’m going to tell you what I headcannon their sexuality being! Some my have a valid explanation, others are going to be ‘because I said so’, fair warning.
Paul Matthews: Okokokok hear me out... since Nick has basically already said ‘sure’ to Paul being enby... I present Demiboy. Because I totally see enby Paul, but I don’t really get the sense that he’d embrace a fully non-binary identity. He’d still gravitate towards the masculine part of his gender identity. I also see Paul being bi but leaning more towards female attraction.
Emma Perkins: Emma is cis, but you also CANNOT tell me that woman isn’t bi. She radiates all the cool badass bi energy. Sorry I don’t make the rules that’s just how it works sometimes-
Bill Woodward: Okay, Bill is cishet (maybe the only cishet at CCRP) but the BIGGEST supporter- especially of Alice. His baby girl will be whatever she wants to be, so help him.
Charlotte: Okay, I see Charlotte being cis and polysexual. I feel like that woman will just... accept any love she gets. Also I’ve seen people shipping her and Doug and I kinda love that and feel she would choose a label that incorporates her enby partner.
Ted Spankoffski: Ted’s also cis and bi, but I feel like he has a lot of internalized homophobia towards himself? Like, he’s not a terrible asshole towards gay people unless they’re himself, or potentially someone he’s developped feelings for.
Alice Woodward: Have I mentioned I really think Starkid missed it’s opportunity for representation with Alice? Like, I love Mariah but I really think they missed the opportunity to cast a black actress in that role. Anyways I think Alice is not only lesbian but also trans. I don’t exactly know why I get that vibe, but I do? I also feel like that might be why she’s a bit insecure around anyone other than her dad and Deb.
Deb: I don’t think Deb chooses to use a label for her gender or sexuality, choosing to simply identify as queer. She respects Alice’s labels, but it’s not for her.
Professor Henry Hidgens: Okay, I think Hidgens might experiement with gender a lot but he still identifies as cis. I headcannon Hidgens doing more than his fair share of drag. As for his sexuality, I think Hidgens uses the Pansexual label. I genuinely just think he’s too flamboyant to use bi or polysexual. Idk why, that’s just the vibes.
Greenpeace Girl: Simply because she’s played by Mariah, pansexual. Also a demigirl. Don’t ask why I have no clue.
Hot Chocolate Boy: Okay, I know we don’t have a ton on him, but for reasons I probably can’t share (because I happen to have been a fan long enough to have friends who learned some things about him on one fateful performance of Black Friday from Matt Lang before Nick could stop him, and of course they passed those things along to me) I think he might be demisexual! That’s all I’m saying Nick please don’t hunt me down-
Doug: Doug is enby. This is cannon, just a reminder.
I think a lot of the other background characters are cishet/ we don’t have enough on them to get a clear sexuality. But yeah, these are just some headcannons I wanted to share! Probably going to post some for Black Friday tomorrow. Happy Pride y’all!
