Hello ❤️ thank you sooo much for the ask!!! I’m sorry I’m only answering it now, it was a hectic day. But I’ve been thinking about it all day and trying to come up with something good and not just a key smash hahaha. I get overexcited about them!
My favourite thing about them is how they complete each other by making each other better. Not in a “being good” better (because they are anything but good people), but rather polishing the bits that need working on. Bedelia is a grounding force in his life and makes him less reckless. On the other hand, Hannibal brings excitement into her life and makes her open up to new possibilities which leads to her embracing her darker side. What is absolutely fantastic about it that this in turn makes them more dangerous in a process. They are dangerous separately but together it’s a whole different level. I love to refer to them as the ultimate power couple because they really are! The damage they could do if they wanted to! They are two of the kind and it shows. I would love nothing more than a season of them two against the world, so to speak. Figuratively, the world would never win.
Another thing that i love explore in my writing is how they embrace normal “couple’ things. Because they are not normal and have never experienced a “normal” relationship, this is new and exciting to them (especially Hannibal who has dreamed about this for years, basically mentally married her after their first meeting). I love to get them to work through that together, no matter how silly or trivial it may be. I am not a romantic person irl, at all, but these two bring out this energy in me and i love to place them in ~situations. I would not write anyone else like that.
