A/N: A... (NSFW) prequel, if you will, to my toddler series centered around Zayne and his three-year-old son, "Snowdrop". Pilot
As with the rest of my toddlers, many details are intentionally left ambiguous to allow readers to incorporate their own headcanons, such as names, birthdays, etc. Below would be how I envision Pilot.
Name: Jacob
Nicknames: Co-Pilot (Caleb), buddy (Caleb), Pilot (readers)
Birthday: April 5
Gender: Male
Sign: Aries
Evol: ???
Appearance: Caleb's clone 100%. MC's genes did not even try rip.
Personality: Still Caleb's clone lol but he is an overly cheerful and relaxed toddler. Residential certified yapper who cannot keep a secret no matter what. He is not doing it intentionally. He just loves to yap.
Also becomes Caleb's shadow whenever his father is around. He just likes spending time with his "best friend" and will tell his father in those exact words. He thinks his father is the coolest person on the planet. (Best believe Caleb melts at those words every time)
He loves his mother just as much as he loves his father. He gets genuinely sad whenever she leaves on long missions or business trips, and because of his young age, he also has trouble comprehending why both of his parents have to leave home sometimes. He thinks they should stay with him forever. (They feel the same)
Is prone to a lot of silly antics, and likes sneaking into his parents bedroom at 5 in the morning. He loves it when his father uses his Evol to make him "fly," and he hates bath time. He will usually try to hide from his mother during these moments, and gets captured every single time. He is easily persuaded, like you don't even have to try. He will happily go along with what you say. (As long as he still gets braised chicken wings)

Toddler Years.
01. Apple of My Eye
— Caleb's partner-in-crimes. His little co-pilot. His mini-him. The child takes so much pride in being like his father. He gets genuinely upset if someone says he is not like his dad or badmouths his dad.
— Baby boy is here for a good time. He is always down to clown. 💖
Early Childhood.
— He gets into a lot of mischief, which results in punishments from the colonel himself, which means by the time he is eight, he is already undergoing the Farspace Fleet's training regime. And he gets in trouble. A lot.
— Is already naturally athletic due to both of his parents' genes, but the training definitely builds up his strength and endurance.
— Gets lovesick every 2-3 weeks with a new classmate/random girl he sees...
— Pursues personal cooking lessons from his father hoping to use it to impress girls. Caleb teases to his wife that if their son gets rejected, at least he will still have his food to comfort eat. (MC is not amused.)

Teenage Years.
— He's crushing the Farspace Fleet's training regime to the point he is now messing with his father about going easy on him.
— Still gets lovesick often, and now has reached the point where he will often learn new skills to impress his latest crush.
— Accidentally masters so many random skills, which all end up useful to him in the future at some point. The very epitome of a jack of all trades.
— Has a cooking channel/social media page just so he could yap...

Young Adulthood.
— Still very much a loveable, free-spirited goofball with a strong love for braised chicken wings. It doesn't take much to make him happy.
— Still a nonstop yapping extrovert. He makes friends with everyone he meets and bonds with people very easily through casual conversations.
— He lives in the moment, treating every day like it could be his last. He faces life head-on.

Birdie

Appearance: Has her mother's appearance, but Sylus' hair and eye colors. She is a perfect blend of them both, but Sylus insists she has taken more of her mother's appearance than his.
Personality: As a toddler, she is very sweet-natured and kind. She loves taking care of others and shows signs of being an empath, being able to pick up on others' feelings. She does have outbursts a lot, but she is always quick to feel apologetic. She also feels lonely often because of her parents' jobs, so when they are around, she clings to them fiercely.
She can also be incredibly feisty, especially when something upsets her. She is just a little girl with big emotions. 🥺
She also has a love-hate relationship with Mephie. Mephie adores her, and for the most part, she does like him, too... except when he snitches on her. After that, he is public enemy #1 to her... until she misses him again.
Likes: Dinosaurs, her father's singing, Luke (Lukey) & Kieran (Kier-Kier), causing mischief...

— She's the Darling of Onychinus. She is under the protection of everyone. All of the henchmen, Luke & Kieran, Mephisto, her parents... do not mess with this child unless you are prepared to meet your maker.

— Has an obscenely large custom-made canopy bed in her bedroom. Mostly because Sylus is just extravagant like that, but also so he can fit on her bed when she wants to sleepy cuddle while he sings her her lullabies.

— Frequently "borrows" her parents' motorcycles. They know, but they don't make a huge fuss over it, since they know she's inherited her daredevil tendencies from them both. (Sylus: Remember, baby, there is no speed limit in the N109 Zone :) MC: SYLUS!!!!!!)
— Constantly bribing Mephie with her new jewelry so he doesn't snitch when she sneaks out of the base. Unfortunately, as the "Darling of Onychinus" someone always have an eye on her whereabouts.
— Sylus lets her believe she is being sneaky when she "escapes" to have her teenaged fun, but the second danger shows up, his henchmen have already taken care of the situation and begun escorting their Young Miss back home.
— Frequent victim of the "walk of shame" to her father's study, where he just smiles and asks casually, "Did you have fun at that party, my little birdie?"
— She's training to one day successfully hack... Onychinus.

Young Adulthood.
— Has picked up many of her father's habits and tics. Enjoys a good drink at the end of the day and going to auctions with Sylus, especially when guns are involved.
— Incredibly independent and still very much feisty by nature, but always sweet to those she loves. She is also very much her mother's daughter.
— Forever a daddy's girl. She still asks her father to sing to her whenever she is upset.

Snowdrop

Name: Cain (candy Cain lmao)
Nicknames: Snowdrop (by readers), Doctor (by Zayne)
Birthday: June 8
Gender: Male
Sign: Gemini
Evol: ???
Appearance: Zayne's copy. Identical in everything except his hair color, which he takes after his mom.
Personality: As a toddler, he is playful and inquisitive. He looks up to his father and imitates Zayne a lot, including playing doctor with his father and plushies (he does charge a fee 💀✋ He expects payments in terms of macarons, other sweet treats, and/or juice boxes. Your insurance will not be covered under his practice 😔). He can also be very silly and likes barraging his father with wild hypothetical questions about anything and everything. He also tends to be a little more bashful from time to time, but overall he has a bright personality. He is very much adored by staff and patients at Akso Hospital.
As he gets older, his personality shifts a little. He is still very much intelligent like his dad, and also leans more toward being introverted, but he does also have his mom's social skills, so he fares better than Zayne does lol He does prefer solitude more than large crowd. In spite of that, he's unexpectedly very popular with everyone, including the school bullies who idolizes him (they accidentally reform themselves to get in Snowdrop's good grace lol).
He's basically inherited 95% of Zayne's genes in terms of looks, behavior, and mannerism. The 5% he's inherited from his mom would be her hair color and menace gene. This boy is such a gremlin as he grows older.
Likes: He's inherited Zayne's sweet tooth 😭✋ He loves macarons the most, but he also enjoys other sweet treats. To Zayne's bafflement, Snowdrop also has an insatiable love for...carrots, something he's adored since he was still in the womb lol

— Adores carrots a lot. He'll eat them raw, he'll eat them cooked any way, he'll drink carrot juice, and he, of course, loves carrot cakes. Zayne feels like the universe is messing with him. BTW carrot macarons exist.
Early Childhood.
— Likes Valentine's Day because all of the girls give him chocolate. Does not like White Day because wdym he has to gift the girls now???
— Has adopted his mom's love for videogames. Likes going to the arcade a lot.
— Learns self-defense techniques from his mom, which she has explicitly told him is only to be used for self-defense.
— He has a tendency to use loopholes to his advantage. He also knows how to use his cute looks to his advantage as well (tbqh, he's been doing this since he was a toddler).
— After protecting his friends from bullies, he accidentally becomes the bullies' "leader" (he's repeatedly objects. No one is listening to him.). He has also inadvertently becomes king of the playground. Poor boy just wants to read comic books and eat macarons.
— Has taken to selling bandages on the playground to his classmates. $5 per bandage initially, but after someone's mom snitched on him, he hiked the price up to $10 per bandage and "snitches get stitches". He doesn't believe in free healthcare for all because a good macaron is hella expensive.
— He saves the allowances his parents give him and doesn't use them. He likes spending the money he hustles makes instead. He keeps his earned money in a secret tin box. It has over $500 in cash.
— Very much an opportunist. If he can profit, he will do it. 🙂

When Zayne had awoken one December morning, he had found a note tacked on his refrigerator under a Happy Snowman-shaped magnet. It simply had one question: Do you want to build a snowman?

Slowly, just a little bit more, and…perfect!
You smiled in satisfaction as you finally managed to attach the final wall to your gingerbread house. All that was left to do was attach the roof and you could begin the fun part: decorating!
