I'm brand new to watching figure skating, I've read your guides and they're the most useful introduction I've found, thank you so much! I have a question about whether my country (Britain) is still able to qualify for the Olympics. It seems they have missed out on the initial qualification via the Worlds but there is still an opportunity via the Nebelhorn Trophy. However, it's not clear to me how a skater qualifies to compete for the Nebelhorn Trophy and whether that's a possible route for GB?

Yes, Great Britain will have a chance to qualify skaters to the Olympics at Nebelhorn. According to the 2017 Nebelhorn Trophy official announcement, essentially any country that wishes to qualify spots can send skaters to Nebelhorn. Each country is only allowed to send 1 skater/team per discipline. The top 6 singles skaters, top 4 pairs, and top 5 ice dance teams will earn one Olympic spot each for their country.

I don’t know exactly which skaters GB will send to Nebelhorn, however. I imagine the fed has their own policies for that.

If I remember rightly it’s not too far in… you have to get past the first areas (Kaer Morhen and White Orchard) but once you’re in the next area, Velen, you just follow the main story arc a little bit and you get to be her for a while.

Yeeah I don't have many BS followers yet but I will hopefully find some people to organise a Maxanne AW with! I don't really know what one has to do for that yet but since there's a few before that date I will learn by example. Thanks for adding it to the list! It's going to be awesome.

Oh yes, there are plenty of examples on the internet, most of the times you simply have to google the name of a character or pairing + appreciation week. I also answered a question of someone asking what was it about and I listed a couple of examples, you can read it here if you want.

And rest assured that editing and organizing stuff like this, usually helps you connecting with people of the fandom, that most of the times share your same interests :)

Do you think it would be possible to schedule some queer lady pairings now we know there's demand for them? Spare a thought for us poor queer women who dislike fandom arguments but love content about ladies smooching :) If you want specifics I'm going to vote for my favourite Maxanne on (arbitrary date) June 22-28. Or whatever you think is going to work best. I've only just got into this fandom so I'm not an expert but I think it would be cool to do something to bring the fandom together now!

Of course it’s possible, I’m merely trying to keep a schedule, all the rest is up to the fandom, organization of the A.W. itself included.

June 22-28 is perfect, I’m going to edit the Masterpost adding the Maxanne week then! You could even team up with those who seem eager to have something like what you suggested and make something up together!

Also, while we’re at it, in the general meme that will be starting on April 30, there are 6 scenes, 5 relationships, 3 love scenes/kissing and 2 ladies to edit (among other stuff) and you could make it all about queer women and ladies smooching, just so you know that you don’t have to wait until late June for that!

Thank you! Yes, it's from an actual juvenile coyote (harvested ethically- I got it for about $5 on etsy from this shop). I used a mix of water based leather dyes to make it look antique-y/fossilized (which is a technique used for bone knife handle making apparently- I came across it in a leather/bone crafts forum when I looked around). I'll probably do a full build write-up when it's done, but that's basically what I did (actual jawbone, layers of leather dye in bison brown, metallic gold and a little red mixed together. It took several treatments with the dye to achieve the right look that I wanted. Then seal it with leather or acrylic varnish. We then drilled a hole for the cord- wearing protection b/c bone dust is *not* something you want in your lungs). It was a bit of an experiment, so I'm pretty stoked that it turned out so well.
