i made the petrodragon into a 3D stereogram!! a little treat for any bf3k stereogram enjoyers. here are some tips for viewing the 3D effect.
Hello tumblr, please look at this picture of people watching a stereoscopic (= 3D) projection around 1858:
Image source: Jens Ruchatz: Licht und Wahrheit: eine Mediumgeschichte der fotografischen Projektion. Wilhelm Fink Verlag 2003, p. 187. Curiously, there is no further information about where Herr Ruchatz found this picture.
Here are the tannic acid toned cyanotype stereo slides for my first project. They are all of neolithic sites in Scotland. They are all of cairns except for the lower right one with a doorway. That is a broch.
Current stats on Stereoscopy. Look at all these round or otherwise pretty numbers! 😍
(Although I would be the opposite of mad if you wanted to make them go up a tiny bit. Just sayin'.
Little FireSky novel for your Friday reading?)

I've always loved photography but I'd never delved myself into Stereoscopy.
You make me discover "new things" through your shiny passionate gaze, the one you use to look with awe at the things you really love.
When you are engaged in talking about your achievements and your passions, your light is even brighter: you light up a room as soon as you walk in.
Yesterday you led us throughout the Bri-day making all of us feel part of something special.
Thank you for letting us being part of that day.
I felt honoured and privileged and even though I followed every step of the launch from afar, I could feel you as close as my heartbeat.
Congratulations once again, you deserve the Moon, the stars and the entire galaxy. 🤍
