So... basically Stefan and Caroline have metaphorically been having sex since season 2? Season 1 if you really want to get technical. Lol. 

So, so beautiful. It’s only made even better by the fact that Stefan is the one asking, every. single. time. Even when he has AMNESIA. A man who “hates” dancing. Come on. Dance Partners. Life Partners. End game folks.

If the song that was used during Steroline's dance means something then this is what I think it is:

One moment imprinted inside my mind.  I think that maybe something happens to Stefan which causes him to lose his memory (like a lot of people are thinking), and in Season 5 somehow he remembers that moment with Caroline, "One moment imprinted inside my mind", which makes him fall for her "Someday, you'll meet someone new and you'll fall madly in love, and you'll have moved on without even realizing." Caroline may be that 'new' someone.

I'm just so deep in these Media theories.
