I started out drawing a Christmas card, but somehow ended up drawing A Christmas Story. Happy Holidays, everyone!!
Among being perhaps (one of) the most rapid-paced, craziest cartoon of all modern cartoons, the character design of Teen Titans GO! is one big reason why I finally got Season 1 on DVD. Among @chrisbattleart (major creative on the series’ visual development) and @lambebeardo, who both worked on The Powerpuff Girls, is Jeremiah Alcorn. He, among Peter Rida Michail and Brianne Drouhard did character design for early episodes, and their designs are very punchy, like on “Legendary Sandwich” and “Double Trouble”. Though I knew Jeremiah’s name from Wander Over Yonder, I looked not into his work until I noticed his name on early TTG episodes. Thanks, Jeremiah!
“Although I only worked on TTG for a very short time (1 and 1/2 episodes or so) the characters were a ton of fun to work on! The opportunity brought together much of the same design team that worked on El Tigre years ealier, so it was great [to] have the chance to work with old friends again, even though it was for such a short time.” Jeremiah continued: “Admittedly, I was only on TTG for a very short time at the beginning of season 1. It was a ton of fun, but I wasn’t extended the opportunity to stay on beyond that point. Chris and the rest of the crew including my pal Steve Lambe, did an amazing job with the design and treatment of the property. As far as approaches for design and influences… there really isn’t anything to note personally. All the major design decisions, in my experience anyway, are sorted out by the art director or lead character designer. They tend to guide the design process and help the rest of us stay on model aesthetically with the style of the show.” - @alcornstudios

Starting to feel kinda Halloweeny out there.....and Im listening to Thriller.
I'm a few days early but I had an open slot at lunch today. Happy 90th, Mick!
Submission five of the "Books I would kill to illustrate" series".
I hit a new deadlift record of 340 lbs today. For the lay person, it's like lifting one and a half versions of yourself.
