Deaton was right, time did help me, but my memories were still far from back. In the meantime, however, it was time to get back to normal life- or at least what everyone else told me my life was.
This meant, moving back to the Stilinski household, as Noah had full custody over me, cleaning up all of my untouched items- I guess no one wanted to bother my things- and last but not least, go back to school. A whole seven hours where other kids my age would point and whisper at the girl who died.
-
The boys were discussing how Kate, the woman back from the dead as well, had a brother who was told over text came back from the dead. I stayed walking side by side Scott as Stiles turned around to face us.
Scott and I didn’t talk about my admittance of remembering that certain memory. We pushed past it. We tried to live in the now. Make new memories. That’s what led me here, watching lacrosse practice.
“Just meet us by the locker rooms” Stiles asked when I told the boys I had to stop by my science classroom before first period. I nodded and smiled softly before turning in the wrong direction as I was not intending on going to my science classroom.
I unknowingly headed towards the courtyard, trying to chase a lingering memory when I ran into another body on the way. Accidentally dropping my books, the boy in front of me helped me pick them up, muttering apologies along the way until we were both standing once more.
“Sorry about that” He spoke.
“Don’t worry about it” I looked towards the exit of the school.
“I wasn’t watching where I was going” I furrowed my eyebrows, confused as to where I was going in the first place.
“Liam” The boy spoke after a few beats of silence.
“Sorry?” I questioned.
“My name” He scrambled to place his hand in front of him.’
“My name is Liam” He clarified.
“Lily” I replied with a light smile, shaking his hand in mine.
“Oh” He made a face.
“You’re the girl who-” He trailed off.
“The girl who died” I finished for him.
“That’s the one” I nodded and avoided eye contact for a moment.
“No it’s not that, it’s just-” My head shot back up to meet his eyes.
“You weren’t what I was expecting” I made a face of confusion at this.
“What does that mean?” I giggled a little bit.
“You’re just-” He gestured towards my body.
“really pretty” His hand shot towards his mouth as a light pink spread across his cheeks. I opened my mouth in surprise when two familiar figures entered our conversation.
“What are we talking about?” Liam turned to the boys who just arrived, making excuses and then walking away.
“What was that for?” I gestured towards where the boy used to be standing.
“What?” Scott shrugged.
“I was making friends” I furrowed my eyebrows as both boys stood on either side of me and placed their arms on my shoulders.
“What more could you need than us two” Stiles joked as my head turned towards his with a face.
-
After school, I was forced to watch lacrosse try outs, as I only had my permit before I died, and now, I didn’t even remember that.
I watched as the boy I met before, Liam, was doing great, perfect even, while the other boys, even my Scott- even Scott, struggled to keep up, if at all.
Eventually, the boys got worked up enough to injure Liam, making everyone let out a groan of sympathy.
After tryouts, Scott pulled me outside, pleading for a conversation before he left with Stiles to take Liam to the hospital.
“What did you want to talk about?” I questioned as the boy led me to a corner and let go of my hand.
“I just, I wanted to say that-” He paused and fiddled with his fingers.
“Despite what I said earlier” He paused once more.
“You are free to be friends with whoever you want” He avoided eye contact.
“You don’t owe anything to us” He continued.
“Anything” He added whispering. I paused before replying.
“Is this about Liam?” Scott nodded in reply.
“I just don’t want you to feel like you owe anything to Stiles and I” He looked back up at me.
“As friends or romantically” He added.
“Scott” I interrupted.
“I heard what you said at the clinic” I whispered out.
“What?” He made a face.
“About” I considered revealing myself.
“About still feeling a connection to me” I finished.
“And” I looked down at my hands.
“I think I feel the same way” I looked back up to see the boy smile slightly.
“But I’m scared” His expression turned to one of concern.
“I can protect you” He jumped to proclaim. I shook my head slightly.
“I”m not worried about that” I smiled.
“I feel so out of place” I paused.
“I don’t belong” I made a face. Scott hesitated, then took my hand in his once more.
“You do belong. I promise” He squeezed my hand slightly.
“And I’ll do whatever it take to make you believe that too”
“What did you want to show us?” Stiles asked as he moved to sit on the bed next to Scott.
“Well” I started.
“You remember how I brought you both with me to the Hale vault?” I questioned while pacing back and forth.
“Lily” I snapped my head to look at the boys.
“It’s just us” Stiles continued. I paused before speaking.
“I’ve been working on something that I wanted to show you both” My eyes flickered from one boy to the other before I finally backed a few steps away from them towards the door. I shook my hands a couple of times before starting and cleared my throat.
I brought my hands in closer to my shoulders and bent my elbows as my eyes glowed red. I straightened my arms and in my hands were blades, real life blades glowing a faint red as well. I smiled to myself as I flipped them in my hands, then tossed one to Scott, who caught it without thinking.
“What the-”
“Cool” I chuckled before explaining.
“I didn’t have my mother’s spell books, but I did have her journals and in them, she talked about how she saw other witches summon weapons from nowhere, and could make them disappear just as fast” I spoke in one breath excitedly.
“My mother didn’t even have a full spell in there about it” I gestured to the book sitting in my bag.
“But she started one, and I finished it” I spoke proudly. Stiles gestured to Scott to see the knife.
“Lily” He moved the knife around to inspect it.
“This is cool” He looked back at me. I smirked, then snapped my fingers, effectively making the weapons disappear. The boy jumped a little as the wolf and I laughed.
“Not funny” He pointed at the both of us and stood up quickly.
“But useful” He pointed at me. I shrugged before both the boys were hugging me, singing praises.
“Do you even know how to use them?” Stiles pointed out. I made a face and playfully pushed him.
“Of course I do”
-
I woke up with a gasp as I clutched my chest, forcing myself to take deep breaths. I closed my eyes and imagined the happy things in my life, most of all my anchor: Scott.
“Lily” The door opened.
“Stiles is ready to go” Dad peeked his head in and spoke. I quickly maintained composure and replied with a short answer.
“I’ll be ready soon” I spoke and gave him a smile. He bid his farewells and love yous before I sprung out of bed to get ready.
-
The car ride was filled with the two of us making theories on the sanity of the resurrected, his and my bond, and where my other family was. We soon arrived at the school, making no real progress on information. I closed the passenger door as I noticed that the twins had arrive and were talking with Scott. I nodded my head in their direction when Stiles looked at me, curious as to why I froze.
We walked over to the trio and joined in on their conversation. They wanted to talk about joining Scott’s pack. Stiles did most of the talking as Issac joined, going on about their mistakes as well. One of the Aiden then half transformed and walked towards Issac, threatening him, as the other wolf made no protests.
Issac only retreated when I called out his name, effectively making him calm down.
“Issac” I spoke aloud. Both wolves turned to me before Scott spoke.
“Sorry, but they don’t trust you” He paused.
“And neither do I” He continued before interlacing his fingers with mine and walking past the two.
Issac walked a different path as the rest of us walked into the school, Stiles praising Scott along the way. The alpha forced the boy to settle down, then turned to me.
“He listened to you” I continued looking into my locker which was next to Stiles.
“Who? Issac?” I questioned and continued grabbing my books. Scott leaned against the locker next to mine and tilted his head downwards.
“Both of them” I said nothing but shrugged my shoulders as an answer.
“Lily” Scott placed a hand on my lower back as my head snapped to his.
“If you’re asking me if I used my powers, I didn’t” I looked up to the ceiling to think.
“I just called a name” I shrugged once more and closed my locker, turning to my brother.
“You just called a name?” He questioned. I groaned and didn’t answer as I walked away from the boys onto my first class of the day.
“Hey” Scott moved next to the boy.
“Hi there” Stiles spoke sarcastically.
“I was thinking about-” He hesitated and looked lovingly at the girl who was now speaking with Kira.
“I was thinking about asking Lily out” He forced himself to turn back to the boy, who made a face of confusion.
“Ask her out?” Scott nodded.
“I thought you two were already dating” Stiles turned his attention back to his books.
“I mean, with the way that she talks about you like you’re the only man on the planet” He continued.
“We basically are, but we haven’t solidified anything. And-” His eyes flickered back to the girl.
“And I’m afraid she’s thinking we aren’t committed to each other” He admitted.
“You aren’t committed to each other?” Stiles spoke a little too loudly as he closed his locker.
“Yes” Stiles then started laughing.
“Bro, trust me when I say this” He placed his hands on the wolf’s shoulders.
“She feels the exact same way” Scott made a face at this.
“You sure?” Stiles nodded.
“You’re the alpha, the apex predator” The two started walking down the hallway.
“Even without the mate bond, everyone wants you” He paused, thinking.
“You’re like the hot girl that every guy wants” Scott considered Stiles’ words.
“She’s the hot girl that every guy wants” He looked towards the girl.
“And every girl” He groaned.
“No” Stiles spoke.
“You are” He patted his shoulders once more.
“I’m the hot girl?” Scott questioned.
“You are the hottest girl” Stiles confirmed as he started walking away.
“I’m the hot girl” He stated with more confidence as Issac approached, confused.
-
The three of us sat in our next class waiting for Coach, until we heard a string of curses, then the slam of the door. The boys turned around to see my smirking face as Coach continued going on about how he hates mischief night. Coach then continued his rampage and ended up destroying a perfectly good gift from his birthday.
My senses sharpened as I noticed something familiar in the air. I waited a moment to say something about it by confirming with myself the facts.
“What is it?” Scott must’ve turned back to see my smiling face, but was met with a serious and focused one.
“I think Derek’s back”
-
“Is that dad?” I looked up from my locker to see Stiles looking at a group of deputies.
“Yeah, I think so” I moved to go towards him, but Stiles beat me to it, leaving Scott to pull me back.
“Um, what were you and Kira talking about earlier?” Scott muttered out. I tilted my head before answering.
“Um, small talk” I answered shortly.
“I need to diversify my friends to include people that aren’t supernatural” I made a face. Scott made another face.
“Not that there’s anything wrong with my current friends” I clasped my hands behind Scott’s neck and tilted my head up to look at him.
“About that. I-”
“Isn’t that your dad?” My attention quickly drifted to another group of business dressed agents moving quickly in the halls. The two of us looked at each other as Scott went to hear their conversation until Stiles and Lydia approached.
The police was leaving. The grounds were cleared. The sounds in Lydia’s head- the buzzing- was getting louder.
“Who? What’s wrong?” Scott called out.
“Barrow” I whispered out.
“Yeah” Lydia said.
“The nut job William Barrow?” Scott asked.
-
The alpha went to meet his mother as I was informed by my brother that the school would be on lockdown until 3. I then got a text from the former telling me to gather Issac and the twins, as we would have a way to track Barrow.
The wolf then pulled out a pair of gowns, to which I groaned. I did not want to hold some old guy’s robes. After the wolves took a sniff, and I used my powers as well, we split up into two groups: the twins, and Issac, Scott, and I.
We couldn’t find a scent and decided to just cover all the ground, where Issac kept talking about how much he didn’t like the twins, or trust them. We kept searching all the way to the end of the hallway, when the fire alarm rang. With a sense of urgency, the three of us made it back upstairs and out of the room.
The other teens met up with us as we told them that we found nothing. Stiles was concerned that something should’ve happened, but nothing did. Lydia stated that she didn’t know if something was supposed to happen or not: if everyone was safe or not.
“Lily” Scott came up to me after school ended, telling Stiles that he would take me home.
“Hi Scott” I smiled back.
“What’s up?” I questioned.
“I know this might be poor timing” He paused.
“But” I added on for him.
“But” He chuckled.
“I just wanted to take you somewhere tonight” He spoke while scratching the back of his neck, feeling awkward.
“Oh” I was surprised.
“What?” He was concerned.
“It’s just that” I paused as I grabbed the extra helmet.
“We’re never usually this formal” I smirked before following Scott onto the motorcycle, which took us to a location in the woods.
“I hate to break it to you Scott” I took of the helmet and ran my fingers through my hair.
“But I’ve been in the woods before” I gave him a face.
“You should know, you were there most of the times” He made a face back and placed a kiss on my hairline before taking my hand to lead me further.
“I know we’ve been in the woods” He turned back to look at me.
“But this is somewhere special to me” We continued walking until a clearing appeared, showing the whole of beacon hills.
“Woah” I whispered out.
“Cool, right?” Scott let go of my hand and allowed me to walk forward on my own.
“Yeah” I nodded. Though Beacon Hills was just a small town in Southern California, when you looked at it from here, it looked like it never ended. I felt warmth on my back as arms snaked around my waist and a weight fell upon my shoulders. I smiled and leaned into the boy as we stood there for a moment before speaking.
“Lil”
“Yeah”
“I also wanted to bring you out here to ask you something” I turned my head to look at the boy.
“Okay” The two of us moved so that we were facing each other.
“I was wondering” I silently encouraged him to keep going.
“If you wanted to be my girlfriend” He spoke aloud and looked down into my eyes. The boy watched as my eyebrows furrowed and became worried.
“Was I- Did I-” I placed my fingers in front of Scott’s lips and shook my head.
“I thought I already was” I smiled and watched as Scott’s face turned surprised.
“Oh no yeah, I just- I just wanted to confirm it” He shrugged and tried to remain calm.
“We’re mates” I made a face.
“I thought being boyfriend and girlfriend would be a given” I admitted, to which we both laughed and met for a kiss. I giggled and felt my heart melt when the boy placed his forehead against mine. We stayed like that for a moment before I pulled back and inhaled sharply, eyes glowing brightly.
“What is it?” Scott hesitated placing his hands back on my body. I shook my head slightly.
“Kira?” My eyes stayed unfocused as I tried to refine this feeling when my thoughts were brought back to a phone ringing. It was Stiles. Barrow was after Kira.
-
Scott and I met Lydia and Stiles at the edge of the woods where we were explained how Lydia came to this conclusion and what we could do. Scott called Issac who couldn’t come up with anything, and Lydia was losing confidence on her abilities.
“I just” The girl placed her hands on her head as she walked past us.
“I swear to God, it literally makes me want to scream” I paused and looked towards Stiles, who encouraged the girl to give in.
I placed my hands over my ears at the sharp noise and watched as the girl slowly turned her head towards the city. She seemed to think for a moment before realizing that she wasn’t hearing buzzing- flies, she was hearing electricity.
We came to the conclusion that Barrow would probably be at his old workplace: he used to be an electrical engineer.
-
We arrived at the station as I unlinked my arms from around Scott and released the helmet from my head. Lydia was urged to stay in Roscoe which caused her to send a pleading face to me. I shrugged my shoulders slightly as I sent her a face of pity before following the boys into the building.
I heard Kira’s pleas as I entered to just see Scott get hit by a shock of lightning. Stiles and I looked at each other as I quickened my pace and entered the room as all the electrical compartments fried and sent out bolts of lightning, which made my heart race with worry.
I lifted a hand up to cover my eyes and take a deep inhale as I prepared to use my powers, but was halted by an electrical hit to my abdomen. My body hit on of the fences before hitting the ground which caused me to groan out in pain and hold on to my torso tightly.
The tiny explosions halted and I craned my head up to see Kira seemingly absorbing the electricity. I groaned out in pain once more as I slowly pushed myself to stand, faltering when a shooting pain shot through my torso.
“Lily”
Scott yelled out and rushed to my side to help me up, though he had just been hit with a similar blow.
“I’m fine” I promised and looked towards a shaking Kira. I felt a hand lift my shirt to reveal an electrical burn spreading across my ribs. I looked down and let out a sharp inhale as Scott squeeze my hand a bit and let my shirt go. The boy tilted his head to look at me as I smiled slightly and nodded my head towards the girl as another person entered.
Stiles replaced Scott as the wolf went over to check on the girl, and I was left with a worrying brother. I kept reassuring the boy that I was fine, which was proved wrong when the police and paramedics arrived, insisting that I should be taken to the hospital.
“I’m fine” I promised.
“Doesn’t even hurt” I lied and I was given disbelieving faces. Everyone eventually gave up at my persistence as we made our way to the sheriff’s office, not to talk with the sheriff, but with Agent McCall.
“You should be healing” Scott whispered into my ear.
“I’m fine” I made a face as Scott tilted his head and took his focus off of me.
Once the coyote ran away from Scott, I teleported across the ravine to meet the boy and run alongside him. We were so focused on finding the animal that we didn’t notice Stiles, and almost ran into him.
Stiles stated that he found something and led us to a coyote den. We finalized that this was the girl’s home but was left with one problem.
“We shouldn’t be in here” Scott suddenly looked worried. Stiles protested his worries.
“We invaded her home” I paused.
“She’s not going to want to come back” Both boys turned around to face me. Stiles asked where she would go, but no one knew the answer. My brother wanted Scott to track her, but the boy had little confidence in himself. He was worried that he wouldn’t be able to turn back if he transformed. The boy looked up to give me a concerned look.
“The door’s still open” Stiles spoke.
“Lily, can you track her?” The boys turned around.
“I um” I stuttered.
“I probably would be able to if I weren’t next to you,” I omitted the last part of my sentence.
“But I can’t right now” Defeat washed over the three of us as we decided that we needed help. None of us had heard from Derek and Deaton wasn’t very fit for the job, but this was in the realm of someone else in particular:
“Our dad” Stiles and I spoke at the same time.
We then exited the den as Stiles moved away from us to make a call. I felt a hand on my shoulder as I turned away from my brother.
“Is he really getting to you that badly?” Scott questioned. I looked down before answering.
“Yeah” I whispered out and lifted my head. Scott said nothing but pulled me into a hug which I did not attest to.
Stiles then made his way back to us which made us separate, and informed us that our father was on his way.
-
After the sheriff’s department inspected the den, the four of us discussed our reasons for why we thought it was the girl. Dad was hesitant because it was an animal we found, not a girl.
The conversation ended with our dad telling us to keep quiet: our story didn’t make sense. He continued to lecture us as Scott’s attention was pulled away to the forest. Dad noticed and started calling out his name, which he didn’t reply to. I turned to the boy with furrowed eyebrows before placing my arm on his shoulder, which made him snap his head towards me, joining the conversation again.
Before the conversation was able to continue, another car pulled up, containing Scott’s father and Mr. Tate. The latter confirmed that the blanket from the den was his, which caused Agent McCall to investigate himself, of course without berating Scott first. Both our dads then went off to the scene, which left the three of us to go over facts.
-
The next day, Scott, Stiles, Allison, and I went over what we found, hoping that the girl would be able to help. She confirmed that the coyote probably wouldn’t go back to the den: they didn’t like wolves, and if they really tried, they wouldn’t be heard either.
The bell then run which left me alone with the two boys. I made my way to sit down until a certain girl stopped my path.
“Lilian!” Kira spoke.
“Lily” I replied.
“Lily” She repeated after me and nodded her head as I smiled. She then repeated her name to me and informed me that she had research for me, about bardo. The girl seemed to stumble over her words until her father appeared from behind her.
“Kira, you forgot all the research you did for that girl you like” The girl turned around and was met with her father, who then had to turn back to me to hand me the papers with a sheepish smile. I gave Kira a small smiled before she slunk back in her seat, and I made my way to sit behind Scott, who gave me a look.
“What” I whispered out.
“You’re taken” He furrowed his eyebrows.
“Don’t you think I know that?” I questioned back and motioned for him to turn around, which he did after a few moments of thought.
I started skimming through the research, trying to find something useful, when I heard my name being called out.
“Mr. Stilinski, how about you?” Mr. Yukimura suggested, which Stiles protested against, but gave in and walked up to the podium. I chewed the inside of my cheek as I started to get anxious, both because I was fearful for him, and because the boy himself was feeling that way.
The class watched in silence as Stiles got more and more overwhelmed, before both Scott and I stood up.
“Stiles” I whispered out as he started gripping the podium like his life depended on it. I gritted my teeth, begging my mind to stay calm as Scott and I looked at each other before walking to the front of the class. I held on to Stiles’ shoulder and arm while Scott spoke that we should take him to the nurse’s office.
Mr. Yukimura held no obligations as the two of us led him into the bathroom, which he stumble for balance and landed in front of the mirror, holding onto the sink.
“Stiles, look at me man” Scott spoke.
“Is this a panic attack?” Scott worried before looking towards me. I kept my eyes downturned as I leaned against the wall to keep my balance. The two of us made eye contact briefly before I spoke.
“Help Stiles” I spoke through now labored breaths. Scott took a few steps towards me, disregarding my words.
“Scott” I yelled out as the wolf placed his hand on my arm. I looked to see frustration in his eyes before he went against his instincts to help his best friend.
I forcefully closed my eyes as I sunk down to the floor, faintly hearing the two boys talk, slowly feeling myself calm down. I blinked the tears out of my eyes to see that both boys were looking at me.
“What the hell is happening to me?” Stiles questioned. Both of us couldn’t provide an answer, but assured that we’d figure it out together.
“Scott, you can’t transform. Allison’s being haunted by her dead aunt. I’m straight up losing my mind” He moved his head to look at me.
“and taking you down with me” I looked down at my fingers as he continued speaking about how we couldn’t help anyone. Scott came back with hope: we can always try.
Scott then moved over to me and gave me a once over to ensure that I was unharmed. I gave him a smile and a small nod as I placed my hand on his cheek. He smiled back until commotion was made, and the two of us noticed another animal presence nearby.
We darted up and walked to the locker room to hear a certain coyote, and see a certain girl. Scott pulled the girl away from the lockers as I used my magic to topple the lockers down like dominoes. The growling stopped and we walked around the room to make sure we were safe. On the ground, Scott and I noticed Stiles’ bag, with a certain doll sticking out of it.
Kira then was persistent the we should call animal control, to which Scott and I tried to be subtle about our hesitance. The girl, didn’t pick up on our resistance, however, as animal control arrived, and with it, my father.
-
I quickly walked down the hallway to catch up with my family as they finished their conversation.
“Do you believe that the coyote is a girl?” Dad turned to me.
“Yeah” I answered immediately.
“Because Scott’s sure” Stiles added, then turned around to prove Scott’s abilites. We all then headed back to the locker room, looking for clues.
“What are you doing?” I questioned as I looked down at Scott who was on the floor. He didn’t answer but met my eyes with his own. My eyes then flickered up to Kira and her father and caught on. I gave him a look as Stiles cam up to us with the same piece of evidence we found earlier.
“You took the doll” I said in a defeated tone. Stiles explained that I could probably use it to track her, which made me change my expression until Mr. Tate showed up, angry that we held possession of the doll.
Thankfully, Dad quickly stepped in and asked him to leave, placing his hand on his torso to gesture him out of there. It was then revealed that the man had a gun, which was not allowed in California schools, even with a permit. He let out a plea for us to find the animal before leaving. The three of us looked at each other in fear for a moment. He could potentially kill his own daughter.
-
We then all suddenly had a sense of urgency, as we needed to find the animal before Mr. Tate did. Scott got the idea to use a tranquilizer, which we needed a gun for. Deaton would be able to provide us with the medicine.
We would be using Xylazine, a tranquilizer for horses, but we had a limited supply. Whoever was shooting needed to be perfect.
“Allison’s a perfect shot” Scott spoke.
“She used to be” Issac protested.
“She can do it” Scott argued back. I pursed my lips at the interaction and pondered for a moment.
“Lily can do it” Stiles spoke. All heads turned to his. He looked surprised at the attention.
“She can track and shoot” He spoke little explanation. I sighed before speaking.
“I used to do the same competitions as Allison” I looked around the group.
“Yeah, and then some” Stiles scratched the back of his neck. Scott looked betrayed and my eyes softened at the sight.
“It was during inpatient” I explained.
“That’s why none of you knew” I paused.
“Great, then you’ll take one of the vials, Allison will take the other two” Deaton spoke, which I nodded in reply.
“Anyways, we still need to turn the girl back into a girl” I looked down at the table. Scott then spoke up about how Peter forced him to transform, and said that it was an alpha tactic, but he needed help.
“Great. I’m an Alpha with performance issues” Scott turned to me.
“Ew. Don’t look at my sister when you’re saying that” Stiles groaned as I smirked before the conversation continued. We decided that we’d need to find the twins, who were no longer alphas, but no one had seen them in ages.
“Actually, that’s not totally true” Stiles admitted.
-
Lydia was still in contact with Aiden. Made sense if you thought about it.
We planned to meet the twins at Derek’s loft, which was abandoned as ever. I took a deep breath in as we rolled open the door.
“You good?” Scott spoke. I nodded my head in reply as he placed an arm around me so I would hug his side. In front of us, Lydia spoke about how they would meet us here, but were nowhere to be found.
That was until Scott’s hand was pulled off of me and thrown into the center of the room, along with his body. I hesitated moving forwards but was stopped when I was given a look by Ethan. It went against my instincts as I watched the boy getting beaten up.
The ex-alphas then explained that he had to roar by giving in. Giving in to his powers would help him control. They kept berating him as he was becoming more and more hurt. Scott tried to fight back, but couldn’t give it his all, he was scared of not being able to turn back.
Scott went for one of the twins, but was stopped when he was thrown on the table being continually punched. The alpha seemed to have lost his will and by instinct, I portaled to the side of the boy and held Ethan’s arm in the air, as Aiden did the same.
“I thought we were helping” Ethan barked out.
“You help too much” Aiden replied and the boys retreated as I stared at them for a moment, before turning my attention to the boy.
I used my sleeve to wipe away some of the blood from his face as I smiled at him pitifully.
“I’m okay” He promised and nodded his head slightly as he pushed himself to sit up.
“So it’s true” Aiden spoke. Both our attention turned away from each other to the boy.
“You are mates” He continued. The two of us looked at each other before answering.
“We are” Scott confirmed.
-
All of us traveled to the woods in preparation of the plan. We all stood in silence before Lydia spoke about how we might be doing more harm than good. Scott explained his reasoning back while I turned to Allison, who gave me on vial of Xylazine. We all mentally prepared ourselves as I armed my crossbow with the tranquilizer, until gunshots ran through the air.
We all turned our heads towards the noise in worry as Scott pulled me onto his motorcycle to drive away. I heard protests from Stiles as we got further and further. I wondered in my head what the plan was, but kept hold of the strap that held the crossbow on my body.
We continued driving towards the gunshots until a scream rang in the air: Issac’s scream. This sent a shock of pain into both Scott and I which caused the boy to lose control of the vehicle. I slowly pushed myself to stand as the remnants of the scream stuck with me for a moment. Scott rushed over to help me until I seemed steady, then pulled me along with him.
I kept one hand on the strap running across my body as the other was still being pulled by the boy. I caught sight of the coyote and let go of the boy’s hand to portal to the coyote, but failed. I stopped walking from the pain of the failed teleport but begged the wolf to continue running while I fell to my knees, taking a second to breathe.
I forced my eyes closed and hunched over myself, slowly rocking myself to calmness, whispering words that didn’t make sense, until a roar rang through the air, causing my eyes t glow red, and my nerves to settle. I took another inhale before standing up and portaling to the location of the noise, seeing a certain alpha and a naked girl on the ground.
She awkwardly pushed herself to stand, looking at Scott, then me, before taking in the world around her, staring at her hand for a moment. I stumbled over to the girl, before giving her my cloak, which was eventually replaced by my father’s jacket.
-
“You did it” I looked to Scott and smiled slightly.
“I did” He looked up at me and placed a hand on my cheek.
-
“I need your help” I whispered to Scott.
“What with?” He questioned as his eyes of lust turned into worry.
“Well, it’s not that I need your help, it’s just that-” I paused.
“I don’t want to do this without you” I looked down at my fingers, then at the boy.
“Okay” He nodded.
“Anything”
“There’s a vault” I paused before speaking.
“I’m just piecing together the memories now, but there’s something I need from it” The boy nodded in understanding.
“The Hale vault” He seemed surprised, but kept his composure for me.
-
Scott, Stiles, and I met at the school at night time. I placed my hands in my pockets and held myself a little tighter from the cold.
“The vault’s at school?” Scott questioned as we walked down the hallway.
“That’s what I said” Stiles high fived Scott as I scoffed and shook my head.
“It’s not at the school” I spoke as I led the boys down to the storage area.
“It’s underneath it” I explained as I moved a bookshelf to reveal a door. I took a deep breath as I stared at the wall.
“Cool” Stiles spoke from behind me. I walked forward and used my powers to turn the key, which surprisingly worked. The door then opened and revealed a vast open space, dimly lit, but filled with shelves of objects.
I slowly walked into the room and walked through the space until I found what I was looking for: my mother’s spell books.
“This is what you were looking for?” Scott questioned from beside me.
“Yeah” I ran my finger over the cover before continuing.
“I can only know so much from my mind” I explained.
“Hey Stiles, so what’s new?” I pondered while picking at my food.
“Nothing much” Stiles stuttered before speaking.
“It’s Beacon Hills. Nothing ever happens in Beacon Hills” I nodded my head at his excuse of an explanation.
-
“We’re still on right?” I was sitting on my floor sorting through my items when a certain boy asked.
“To hang out with Scott?” I questioned as my hands fell to the floor. Stiles nodded in response.
“Yeah of course” I returned my attention to my open suitcase.
“Awesome. We leave in 20” I gave him a thumbs-up without lifting my head.
-
“You want to do what?” I questioned and raised my head.
“I want to get a tattoo” Scott explained simply.
“He’s been talking about this for a while” Stiles stated while keeping his eyes on the road.
“Your best friend leaves for a few years and she comes back to this” I lifted my hands up in defeat while slinking back in the car seat. The two boys chuckled as we arrived at the location.
-
“What does it mean?” I questioned out of curiosity. Scott shrugged in reply and made little notice of the pain caused by the needle.
Once back in the car, hushed whispers could be heard from the two boys, followed by a loud groan from Scott. I pushed myself next to the boys and watched as he pulled up his sleeve.
“It’s gone” I whispered out and turned to Stiles. He seemed to be at a loss for words. Both the boys did.
“What” My head snapped in between the two boys.
“What is it?” My eyes widened. At first, the two boys tried to convince me that I was just seeing things, to which I came back with facts.
“Scott I watched you get ink needled into your skin and then you came back to the car, groaned, and now your tattoo is gone” I was restless at this point. Scott and Stiles shared an unspoken conversation before answering me. They then told me why they believed this happened: because Scott is a werewolf. A few lightbulbs went off in my head, but I made no sign of proof.
“Okay”
“Okay?!” Stiles questioned.
“We just told you that werewolves exist and that Scott is one of them” He was freaking out.
“I know. And” I questioned. He turned to Scott and shrugged before giving up and starting the car.
“Thank god” Stiles let out a groan and continued about how he hated the tattoo.
“I thought it was unique. It meant something, if very little, to our dear Scott” I reached forward and patted the boy on the shoulder. The car erupted into giggles before the conversation turned to girls. Two in particular: Lydia and Allison. I paid attention for a moment before my vision was taken over by a familiar face. One that I recognized, but could not name. He smiled in front of me and led me through the woods, we were playing hide and seek. His eyes flashed yellow before grabbing me and jumping up into a tree. I was held securely in front of him and watched as people walked below us. I smiled at the warm feeling I got which was replaced by alertness when Stiles pressed on the brakes. I watched as the two boys were quiet, and the car in front of us stopped as well. My vision focused on a darkening figure in front of us and pulled forward until the figure hit the car in front of us. It was a deer. The three of us looked at each other before placing the car in brake and exiting the vehicle.
“Are you okay?” Scott called out. A commotion was made as Scott went to the brunette and Stiles went to the redhead. I watched as the interaction occurred but continued walking forwards when a weird feeling crept up my spine.
“Lily?” I felt a voice call out behind me. I continued walking to the front of the car and was face to face with the dead animal. I reached my hand out before another caught it. I looked up at the owner as he gently pushed me behind himself to take a look himself.
“I saw its eyes right before it hit us. It was like it was crazy” The redhead spoke.
“No, it was scared” Scott stated while bringing his hand to the animal.
“Actually, terrified” He clarified once he made contact.
I took a step back and my head darted towards Stiles, who was looking right back at me.
-
“What was that?” Stiles started to scold me.
“What” I questioned and flopped down on my bed.
“Well I don’t know, you started walking towards a dead animal and then moved like you were going to touch it” His tone got more and more aggressive as he spoke. I made a hush sign to signal that dad was sleeping and his shoulders slumped.
“You aren’t Scott” He stated simply.
“I know I’m not Scott” I huffed out and stood up full height.
“I wasn’t actually going to touch it” I replied.
“It sure didn’t look like that” The boy crossed his arms in front of his chest. I rolled my eyes and let out a breath.
“Why does it matter? Nothing happened after the deer was already dead” I exclaimed.
“Okay, but this was definitely supernatural, and, last I checked, you can’t sense emotions like Scott can” He pointed out.
“Last you checked it, it was two years ago” I let out a breath.
“Lily” Stiles reached for my shoulder. I avoided his hand and walked towards my closet avoiding the boy’s eyes.
“Stiles can we just talk about this tomorrow? It’s been a long day” I explained and started sifting through my clothes.
“Yeah” I heard right before my door opened and shut. I turned to look at the entrance and laid my head against the wall as I let out a puff of air.
-
I got ready for school as quickly as I could and was making my way downstairs when I heard Stiles and my dad speaking. Stiles was going on about deer attacks and the statistics behind them.
“Good morning champ” Dad hugged me into his side once he noticed my presence. Stiles and I made quick eye contact before he continued on with his rant. The conversation ended with Dad dragging Stiles out of the room by his chair. I giggled and made my way to Roscoe.
The drive to school was quiet, to say the least.
“So… first day back” Stiles started.
“You haven’t seen any of these kids since middle school, how are you feeling?” I turned towards him and made a face.
“I’ll be fine DAD” Stiles scoffed.
“I do not sound like dad” He insisted.
“No, you sound like a Walmart version of him” I added. We both laughed and the car fell back into an awkward silence.
“Hey, I’m sorry if I didn’t talk to you as much as I should’ve” Stiles apologized.
“No, don’t worry about it. I’m just-” I paused and chose my words carefully.
“A lot can happen in two years” I simply stated. Stiles nodded and we both fell silent.
-
We met up with Scott and the two immediately started talking about a man named Derek who had a visible tattoo. I wanted clarification, as the name sounded familiar, but I went against my instincts and stayed quiet.
The three of us split up to go to our respective classes, as I stopped at my locker along the way. I grabbed all my books, closed the door, and turned around too quickly, as I ran into a boy and dropped my belonging. I muttered out an apology as I dropped to pick up mine and his things.
“Sorry about that” I avoided eye contact.
“No worries, totally my fault” I looked up to see a boy gesturing towards his chest and handing me a book. I smiled slightly and accepted the book.
“I should really look where I’m going” The two of us stood back up and I ran my fingers through my hair with my free hand.
“I don’t think we’ve met yet” The boy held out his hand.
“I’m Aiden” He stuffed his other hand into his pocket.
“Lily” I took his hand in mine. I smiled before a vision of a humongous were-man appeared and my eyes flashed red, as his did as well. I jumped backward and let go of Aiden’s hands before stuttering out.
“I should get going” I didn’t let the boy answer before darting out of the hallway, hoping he wouldn’t be in my next class.
-
I sat down in my seat and watched as the classroom filled with students. I did my schoolwork as any normal student does until the principal came in. He said something to Mr. Harris before he told me that my father was picking me up to go to the doctor. I internally questioned why I was going to the hospital but was thankful for being able to avoid first-day stares of being the new girl.
“Hi dad. Why are we going to the hospital?” I questioned as soon as I buckled in.
“Paperwork” He sighed out as I raised an eyebrow.
“You need a new physical” He clarified.
“Why couldn’t that wait until after school?” I asked. He shrugged in response.
“Can’t be in public school if the county doesn’t have files of your shots” I watched the roads around me for changes made.
“I’m getting shots?” My attention was turned back to my dad.
“I never said that” He shrugged.
“Actually, I think you did” He chuckled.
“Not funny!” I pouted and sunk in my chair.
-
We made it to the hospital and into a room. Apparently, some commotion had started, as my dad was called into work to investigate a case that had just occurred.
“Duty calls” I joked and shrugged.
“Stay here” Dad demanded.
“If you need anything, find Melissa” He added as he pecked me on my hairline before he left.
“I’ll be back soon” He opened the door.
“And I’ll be here” I spoke into the empty room.
“Alone” I made a face and looked down at my hands.
A good amount of time had passed and still, no one had entered my room. I was a bit curious as to what was happening but I was more concerned about my bladder. I looked around the room just to make sure but found no other doors. This was only an examination room. I made my way to the door and looked around the hallway. Lots seemed to be happening, many people were rushing around, so I blended in with the crowd and followed the signs.
I eventually made my way into a mostly empty hallway, except for a boy at the end of the hall.
“Lily?” The voice spoke out.
“Scott?” I squinted my eyes as the boy walked towards me.
“What are you doing here?” I questioned.
“I- Um- I-” He stuttered.
“Just visiting” He answered.
“It’s the middle of the day” I added.
“I could tell you the same thing” He made a face and tried to look past me.
“Are you in a rush?” I questioned.
“No, I’m just-” He seemed to have found what he was looking for.
“Lily, run” He activated his claws and stared down at a man in the elevator.
“What? I-” I didn’t get to answer my statement as the boy ran into the elevator. I could only assume it was going up and found the stairwell to make it in time.
I looked around to watch for prying eyes before using my powers to see through the walls. The elevator was stopping on this floor. The door let out a ding and swung open. I was about to walk in but my reaction was too late, and I flinched when a man stabbed the attacker with his claws before throwing him out of the way and pulling me inside with him. This man probably saw me use my powers.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in school?” I stared at the man as he directed his attention towards Scott, who just slumped on the floor.
“And who are you?” He turned towards me. He seemed familiar, but I could not specify it. I’d been having that problem a lot lately.
“Lily. Scott’s friend” I answered simply. He nodded and avoided eye contact. I furrowed my eyebrows at this but said nothing. I followed the two boys and said nothing all the way to the man’s house. Derek’s house. This was Derek.
The two boys made discussion as I watched Derek pull out a plant from under the floorboards.
“Wolfsbane” I whispered out. Derek seemed to have heard me, as he and I made eye contact briefly.
Stiles eventually made his way here, and the four of us settled down so Scott could have his tattoo. I watched as Derek’s eyes turned red so he could see said markings. The boy then revealed to us that the tattoo was a reward, for not talking to Allison all summer. The brunette?
The process then started, and Scott eventually passed out from the pain. Stiles made small talk with Derek who did not answer. I only stared down at the ground, but I could tell that the man was looking at me.
Scott eventually woke up and we made our way to exit. Scott noticed that the door was painted and was not given an answer. He then scratched at the door to find a symbol. Stiles and I looked at each other in curiosity and concern.
Scott connected that the natural occurrences were the cause of alphas. Derek revealed that there’s a pack of alphas. The alpha pack. They have Boyd and Erica, whoever they are. Issac then woke up and asked for the girl. The three of us questioned who the girl was. Derek then went over to the boy in hopes of calming him down.
“His red eyes” I gestured towards Derek.
“Means he’s an alpha?” I questioned. The two boys nodded.
“I think I’ve already met an alpha. And he goes to our school”

A/N: Okay this took me way too long to post. I’m so sorry about that. Anyways, this is pretty long for me because I did the whole scene where you actually found out so hopefully it’s okay. And who doesn’t love Isaac Lahey?
GIF isn’t mine
Stiles was protective to say the least. Scott too. They cared a lot and you understood that. You understood that they just wanted to keep you safe and alive and you understood why that need to protect you increased when the whole werewolf thing happened. You were obviously with them when they went out to find the dead body; why wouldn't you be? You hadn't wanted to leave Scott behind and was going to tell your dad he was there but Stiles had already spoke up. You kept using it against him and it annoyed him to no end. And now, Isaac is the same. He's super protective and he doesn't like the idea of you being any part of the supernatural. Due to the whole 'we're not part of Derek's pack' thing, you and Isaac had been sneaking around. You had started before he was bit and back then you had to sneak around too but that was mainly because of his dad. He hadn't told you about that until after his dad died and it was the same night he told you about being a werewolf.
Recently, he had been coming round more. Isaac's clingy to say the least. But its not like you hate it. It is so adorable when he just shows up at your window, pouting because he 'hasn't seen you in forever' but its only been two or so hours. You two never spent more than a couple of hours apart, which is why tomorrow was going to be hell. And right now. Matt had asked you to the rave and you had said yes and then you were stupid enough not to tell Isaac. They had this whole plan with Scott and Stiles and you didn't want to distract him so you just showed up with Matt anyway. You had hoped it would stop Stiles and Scott from figuring out about you and Isaac though you're sure Scott already knew and was not happy about it.
So when Isaac saw you two, he was beyond pissed but then so were you after seeing the way he was dancing with Erica and Jackson. And then Matt tried to kiss you but you obviously shut down within seconds but that didn't make Isaac any happen. Now though, you were driving Matt home, fingers tapping rather aggressively on the wheel. Matt must've known and you were glad he didn't say anything. You weren't so glad about being in the car with him. He just kept giving you these looks that made you uncomfortable and just feel...wrong. It wasn't until you had parked up across from his house that he spoke up, "So, about that incredibly bad idea I had," With a deep breath, you gave an awkward and uneasy smile as you tried your best to seem as friendly as possible. "You mean, the kiss?" Matt gave a curt nod, a nervous laugh spilling from his lips as you joined in. Why couldn't he just leave the car already? "Yeah, that's the one,"
Not wanting to prolong this torture anymore, you gave a half shrug, "Don't worry about it," Normally, this is the point that a sarcastic comment would leave you without much thought but you were on too high of an alert to do that, "For real?" This time it was you who gave the nod, almost frantic as you just wanted to get him out, "Definitely," He just sat there, staring straight ahead as you stared him down. Why wasn't he going? Leave Matt, for god's sake. Refraining from smashing your head against the wheel, you watched as he glanced to you with that look. The that made you feel so sick. "So, what's going on with you and Isaac? Are you guys-you guys together, or-or what?" Your eyebrows shot up as you stopped your jaw from dropping. What did he just say?
"Um, what?" Matt seemed to flinch st the hiss, shrugging like it wasn't a big deal. What was wrong with this guy? You shifted in your sheet, no longer wanting to be there and just wanting to be with Isaac. "Just, you two, um, keep looking at each other in that kinda way. And, he, uh, seemed pretty pissed about you being there with me," You don't know whether it was visible or not but you relaxed a lot then. It was only assumptions, nothing more. That doesn't mean you suddenly didn't mind him being in the car. You huffed, running your hands across your face before you talked, "Um, well not really," You heard how hollow his nervous laugh became, saw the flicker of annoyance and anger in his eyes and shifted in your seat once more, "Not really. God, I hate 'not really's.' You never know what to do with 'not really.'," Nothing. You do nothing with 'not really' because its not your decision. Of course you didn't say that since you have some restraint, unlike your brother. Why had you said yes to Matt again? He'd been giving you the creeps since day one and you just had to drop him home.
Instead of shoving the git out the car (and trust me, it was hard not to), you gave that uncomfortable smile once more as you clenched and unclenched your fits around the wheel repeatedly, "Would you understand if I said it was complicated?" Matt sat thinking for a second or two and you couldn't believe he was actually doing that. Surely he was as uncomfortable as you. "Not really," Cue awkward, nervous laughs, "But, I'll try," Yeah buddy, you will. He slipped out the car, waving goodbye and you sighed heavily, relaxing into the seat. "Thank would've been nice," you muttered bitterly before going to drive away when something caught your eye. The bitch left his bag.
You were never good at controlling your curiousity, it was one of the main reasons you got in trouble a lot. Curiousity killed the cat, yeah sure but that cat probably died with a clear mind. Curiousity was so easy to give into, you usually found it gave the best things in life. Like Isaac, for example. You were curious about the quiet, cute boy in the background of every class, why he never spoke up and why he always seemed to walk around alone. Curiousity gave you something as amazing as what you had with Isaac but this time, it may just kill you.
Snatching the camera from the bag, you began to click through them. At first, it was pretty normal. Lacrosse, lacrosse, lacrosse, la- no wait, that's not lacrosse. That's you in class. Okay, maybe it's like a one time thing, just a good shot. You continue to click through the photos and yeah, its not the one time thing. You can actually feel the sick rising in your throat at the sight of in your room, reading your book. Another of you on a laptop. Another of...so it wasn't just assumptions. He knew about you and Isaac because the filthy git took pictures of the two of you. Though as you continue through those few, its never really ever of anything like cuddling, most making out. What a pervert.
You're startled by the tap at your window, shutting the camera off after jumping out of your skin. Trying to send Matt a smile, its more of a grimace. He gives you this unsettling grin and your hand twitches towards your phone to call Isaac. Or maybe Stiles was a better idea. But Isaac could bring Derek. But Stiles could bring your dad. Wait, not important because right now, Matt's mouthing, "Open the window," to you and you sitting there like you can't move. Maybe you can't. Maybe that's what's flooding your entire body right now, the dread overpowering. Slowly, you opened the window and watched as he gave a nervous laugh, “Forgot my bag,”
Laughing worriedly, you gave another frantic nod as you mumbled, “Yeah... Yeah,” Matt grabbed his bag and you handed over the camera, trying your hardest not to let the tremble show. Matt took it with a thankful smile, leaning against the window still. Just go! “Some good pictures in there, don't you think?” No. No, there’s creepy pictures. There’s creepy pictures of you in your room. Not good, definitely not good. But instead you nod, giving a half shrug, “Yeah, the lacrosse ones are amazing. You're really talented. I was-I was-I was really impressed,” That’s a lie. Oh well, if it gets him gone faster. Matt eyes the way your leg was bouncing and your fingers drumming against the wheel once more. He stared at the way your tongue would run over your lips every minute or so and how you seemed to lean into the seat behind you.
“There's a good candid of you in there, too,” Oh really? You hadn’t noticed. You too busy being distracted by the fact they were taken through a bloody window. Biting back the sarcastic comment and glare, you gave the best fake smiley out could muster right now, “Really?” Ok so maybe the way you dragged it out a second too long was pretty sarcastic but Matt didn’t seem to care. He was more focus on his camera and bag, “You can see some of the others, if you'd like. I mean, this-this tiny little screen doesn't really do it justice. But, uh, I could show you some on my computer,” Others? There’s others? There’s others, that’s lovely. That’s just great. Okay, you could call your dad? Maybe he could talk to someone at the station. Or you could just call the station.
What you had to do at this moment is answer him, “Oh, I would totally like that, but maybe another night,” Never. Never, you weird creep. You couldn’t help the slight scrunch of your nose, eyes narrowing just a tad at his next words, “Well, just for a few minutes?” You looked round to his house, seeing how empty it was. Then you looked around the street, seeing little to no cars. “It's getting kind of late,” Matt tilted his head slightly, clearly confused as he almost scoffed in disbelief, “It's the weekend,”
“I know, but I-”
“And, it's spring break. I mean, you don't have anything going on tomorrow... do you?” Did he just cut you off? Oh dear god, how had you not smashed his head in yet? You gave a more strained smile, obviously uncomfortable, “No, I’m just- I’m really particular about my bedtime,” you gave him a wide eye, joking laugh look that made him chuckle along with you. Both of you nodded as you refrained from slamming your hand against the wheel. “I really should get going,” he squinted his eyes just a tad, smile becoming faker, “You sure?” You gave another curt nod, gripping the wheel just a bit tighter to hold back the need to smash his head into the pavement. Not the car, can’t ruin the car. “I'm sure,” you were stiff, your voice clearly conveying it and how uneasy you were. Matt gave a small awkward mumble of okay or something and you drove off, fishing your phone out to call Isaac.
-
You hadn’t told Isaac exactly what happened but just you needed to see him and that he could use the front door. Then you had called Stiles and said you needed to speak with him and he said he was bringing Scott. You might as well tell the both of them, if Matt had pictures then there’s no point trying to hide it. Somehow you managed to be the first back so you waited in the living room, hands resting on the back of your head as you stared at the ground, totally spaced out. The door opened and closed and you heard the clang of keys as they were put in the bowl before Stiles and Scott were in front of you, both worried though your brother looked worst. You stood up and took your brother’s hand out of his mouth with a small scowl but when you turned to open the door since Isaac had knocked, Stiles began biting his nails again.
As soon as Isaac saw the others, he gave a panicked look to you but you just tried to give him your best reassuring smile. Stiles and Scott seemed confused too, both seemingly tensing up like they were ready to fight. You scoffed, “Oh calm yourselves, it’s not like he’s going attack me in front of you. He’s not that stupid,” you grinned at the offended look Isaac gave before moving the three towards the sofa. You made sure Scott was next to Isaac so he could stop him from leaving though you weren’t too sure whether he would.
“Um, okay. Okay, first thing first, me and Isaac are dating,” you watched as Stiles tried to process it as Isaac’s jaw dropped and Scott just nodded. Looking to your brother, you waved off his splutters of confusion, “I know, just get over it. More important things. Like, uh, how do I say this? I think Matt’s been stalking me, kind of,” Stiles literally short circuited at that whilst Scott just looked really confused. Isaac tensed, face falling as his eyes filled with a rage you’d never seen before. Scott looked down before looking back up at you, mumbling a “What?” That you just about heard.
Shaking out your hands, you sat on the coffee table with an uneasy look as you nervously laughed, though it was more of a huff, “Yeah. I gave him a lift home after the whole rave and he started talking about how he tried to kiss me,” you saw how Isaac seemed to get more tense, jaw and fists clenching, “And I was saying it was no big deal and then he asked if Isaac and I were a thing and I was shocked ‘cause we’ve been sneaking around and he shouldn’t know. He gave this reasonable answer and then he left and he forgot his bag. So I picked it up and I was looking through his camera and there was a bunch of pictures of me and some were at school and some were through my window and a few of those were me with Isaac,” you finally looked up to see them all looking extremely pissed, rage swirling in their eyes. Isaac and Stiles both jumped up and Scott moved to hold Isaac as you got Stiles.
“What? No! We have to go...do something!” Stiles shouted, arms flailing as you shoved him back onto the sofa. Isaac nodded in agreement, trying to get out of Scott’s hold. You walked over placing your hands on Isaac’s shoulders with a stern look that made his beta eyes fade away. You leaned into, wrapping your arms around his middle as he wrapped his around your shoulders. Looking at your brother and Scott, you gave a worried smile to them. “Please don’t do anything. I’m going to talk to dad about it, okay? Don’t get in trouble for me,” Isaac scoffed as Stiles rolled his eyes and you and Scott shared a look. “Yeah well, there’s already a restraining order so I can’t go much lower,”
Isaac placed a kiss to your forehead and with a huff, pulled away. He kissed away your small pout before adjusting his jacket. “Derek said not to be too long,” you frowned, hands going back to his shoulders as he gave you a small grin. You could still see the rage and anger in his eyes and you knew part of the reason he was going back was because he didn’t want to end up hurting you or the others because he couldn’t control it. “I’ll take you back,” Stiles shook his head at your words, standing up again. “Um, no. What if Matt’s out there? No, you’re staying here and Scott’s taking him back,” Stiles marched over to the curtains, closing them and then moving to do the others as Scott just looked surprised by the demand. With a small shrug, Scott gave you a quick side hug and began to lead Isaac out. Isaac placed one more kiss to your lips before leaving and you felt the unsettling feeling in your stomach again as you followed after them and closed the curtains by the door.
At least those three were protective, life would always be a whole lot safer.

Whatever the new monster was it was unlike anything the pack had previously seen before and when Liam called you had come back from university. Lydia had dragged your brother Stiles back to Beacon Hills when she heard about the near invisible threat. That’s what has you in the woods running from death practically.
“Use your scream!” Theo yelled dodging a tree.
“I can’t scream at something I don’t see!” You shouted back with a huff, “Besides your the one who did this to me!”
“I did not.” Theo bit back as the pack met in a clearing back to back. Your eyes focused on everyone before a scratch was made on your cheek.
“Where is it?” Malia growled as the group was pushed further and further to the back of the clearing before you all tumbled into a hole through something gross.
“I don’t know! Keep your eyes everywhere.” Scott replied scanning the surrounding area for the threat.
You gagged wiping the mucus like substance off your face similarly to your pack members you saw that Stiles had actually puked. You wretched a little more before calming down in shock of what was happening before your eyes.
“Guys?” You exclaimed keeping your eyes on the massive form in the sky. They all ignored you to bicker on who’s fault it was.
The form, shadow like and almost octopus in shape, began to move towards you in movement that was like it was floating and gliding through the air. The head was oblong and huge but it’s tentacles began to reach for your group.
“GUYS!” You screamed earning your brothers attention first, “We have bigger problems like the octopus shadow coming at us.”
“What?” Stiles questioned before your fist shoved his face to the shadow gaining distance, “Oh my god. RUN!”
You all took off in a similar direction pushing Lydia, Corey and Stiles in front of you to leave the rest of the supernaturals to protect. There was something in the air that told you that you guys couldn’t survive this so you shared a look with Scott and picked up speed.
“What the hell is that?” Malia yelled as you took in the appearance of the area. Material was floating in the air and it was darker than you had known anything to be.
The tunnel like formation was the only place you were able to jump into even if it was horrifically smelly. It was harder to breath down here also but when the sound of those monsters echoed through the tunnels you flew down into a large circle cavern almost. A rope hanging from the ceiling was the first thing you noticed.
“Guys! There’s a rope!” Liam exclaimed crouching to give support, “Hurry!”
Once after another your pack made it up through the hole and out of the tunnels but the monsters were too close. You shoved Lydia up further before flicking your claws out and getting into position. The massive amount of them stalked around you that you completely slipped in your control. Out came the banshee scream that obliterated the closet monster and when the air changed they took off running while another group had stumbled to you.
“Y/N!” Stiles screamed frantically searching for you. All you could do was stare at the teenagers in front of you.
Decked out in goggles, bandanas around their faces and gloves were a teenage boy about your age with four younger teens. You saw behind them that the new enemy in Beacon Hills was stalking up behind them.
“Scott! We have new people!” You yelled as your Alpha dropped back into the hole with Malia at his side. Both eyes blazing blue and red the newcomers choked as they scrambled to the side.
In unison you each began to claw and kick the enemy in front of you but it was stronger and more adept at the surroundings. Malia was thrown into Scott sending them into a wall in conjoined agony while you dropped your head before lifting it to scream and push your scream at him. Falling onto his back you growled deeply before the enemy shoved you forcefully at the new group.
“Ow.” The older teen moaned collapsing under your weight.
“Get out of here.” You harshly whispered at the teens as the fight behind you continued, “Liam! Stiles I need you to help these people out.”
Sharing a look with the male you rejoined your alpha just as the enemy was ripped apart by the monster dogs. Turning you saw that the older teenager and the one younger boy with curly hair were wrapped around the rope close together. A deep growl shot against the walls as more of the dog creatures flew past you all.
Once out of the tunnels into the cool night air you shared a look with your pack as the group of teens huddled together. Their gear removed showing their full features in the blanket of darkness that enveloped you.
“What the hell just happened down there.” The older teen demanded stepping in front of the younger kids.
“Why the hell you were you down there.” Stiles retorted with a deep glare. You sighed knowing he wasn’t going to be spending the next week talking about if we could trust them.
“I’d personally like to know why your wearing all that.” Lydia interrupted sliding her hand into Stiles’.
“This is the newest trend.” The older teen stated.
“It’s outdated. Who wears tight Levi’s anymore.” Lydia rolled her eyes before the curly haired one shifted close.
“What are you guys wearing?”
“Let’s slow down guys.” Scott interrupted sending a look to everyone in the pack, “I’m Scott McCall. These are my friends Lydia, Liam, Theo, Nolan, Mason and Corey. This is my girlfriend Malia and my best friend Stiles and his sister Y/N.”
“Steve Harrington.” The older teen nodded before motioning to each kid, “This is Dustin, Mike, Lucas and Max.”
“What were the dog things that were chasing us?” You questioned smoothly towards Steve.
“Demodogs.” Dustin spoke with a slight lisp.
“Demo-whats?” Stiles choked out with a chuckle.
“Demodogs.” Dustin rolled his eyes.
“Werewolves, Kanimas, chimeras, nogistunes and kitsunes I can handle but this bullshit. I’m so close to being out of this shit.” You firmly stated squeezing your eyes shut, “This could have been avoided if my idiot brother hadn’t decided to go searching a dead fucking body.”
“You were just as into finding it as I was.” Stiles huffed shoving his finger in your face, “In fact you were the one that wholeheartedly sprinted to the jeep.”
“I wouldn’t be a goddamn banshee!” You screeched at him. Your golden eyes fired brightly in the night sky.
“Holy shit.” Dustin muttered staring at everyone.
“You were born as a banshee. It’s from mom’s side of the family.” Stiles retorted, “Besides that asshole was the one that brought the Dreaddoctors and changed you.”
“I thought we were passed this.” Theo grunted looking up at the sky in frustration.
“Shut up.” You and Stiles shouted at the boy before you were each maneuvered away from each other before things got worse.
You curled into yourself as you firmly began to chant the calming phrase you had been introduced to after you were brought back to live. It helped that Scott was next to you asking the question.
“What are three things that can not be hidden?” Scott asked kneeling as your side.
“The sun, the moon, the truth.” You ground out feeling your canines retreat along with your claws. You sighed looking up to see Stiles worriedly watching your form, “Sorry.”
“I’m sorry.” Stiles whispered coming closer, “I don’t want to be the reason you have blue eyes.”
“Actually as a chimera I don’t think her eyes would change.” Theo stated moving closer.
“I’d rather not find out.” You muttered lowly.
“Theo you’ve murdered dozens of people and still have golden eyes. I still don’t trust your theory.” Stiles spat.
“Why don’t you go back to the FBI.” Theo growled stepping closer before Nolan stepped in between the three of you. He often faded into the background even after you all forgave the boy for his help during Monroe’s reign in Beacon Hills.
“It’s not the time.” Nolan spoke training his eyes on the hole, “We have a problem. I don’t think we’re in Beacon Hills anymore…or even in 2014 anymore.”
“Don’t be an idiot.” Stiles snorted.
“It’s 1984 actually.” Mike spoke confused, “We’re in Hawkins, Indiana. Where’s Beacon Hills?”
The pack fell into silence as you thought long and hard about what this little kid had said before each of you looked at your alpha. Scott’s jaw had dropped slightly at the truth the kid had spoke.
“I’m out. I’m done.” You frantically shook your head, “I ain’t dealing with this.”
You speed walked to the woods to lean against one of the trees nearly retching into the dirt as the pressure of the news fell on you. You weren’t even fucking born in the 1980s and you stuck here for god knows how long. The only upside was that Steve wasn’t all that bad to look at and his care for those kids was rather attractive.
“Are you okay?” The warm voice of Steve asked.
“I just traveled further in time than I was even born okay. I’m not okay. Oh god are scrunchies a thing?”
“They aren’t?” Steve questioned just as shocked back at you.
“Oh no.” You groaned thinking of the picture of your parents back in their mid teens.
Your mother Claudia was one of the girls well known for keeping up with the trends when she grew up. You had seen dozens of photos where she wore blazer jackets with shoulder pads, leg warmers, scrunchies, large earrings among the other trends that now seemed ridiculous. Hell your Dad still had his legendary fanny pack from his teens packed in some box that hadn’t seen the light of day since your family tried to help your mom remember with material items.
“Stiles!” You screamed to your brother. He quickly made his way over to you with concern painted on his mole speckled face, “We’re screwed.”
“I know. Our parents were kids.” Stiles snorted shaking his head.
“Oh god. Dad’s probably wearing his fanny pack right now.” You blinked shuddering at the definite perm your mother was rocking, “Do you think if we traveled to Beacon Hills we could see our parents?”
“Not a smart idea.” Lydia interrupted from his side, “Movies about time travel all share one thing in common. The butterfly effect.”
“The what?” Scott questioned joining you all.
“It’s where one tiny detail can cause a ripple in the future. If Claudia and Sheriff saw their teenage kids in their teens they could not get together. Hell if something slips that Claudia dies in the future she may not want kids to ease the loss and suffering they’ve had.” Lydia explained in detail.
“I need to sit.” You groaned sliding down the tree to place your face between your knees. Steve rested his hand on your shoulder albeit with the dangerous glare of your brother.
“I can’t imagine the shock you’re going through but we could use your help. The way you destroyed the demodogs and saved us…we could use all the help we can get.”
“Let’s kill a bitch and go home.” Stiles smirked looking at his best friend, “Come on Scotty.”
“Okay first we need to explain everything.” Lucas was the one to speak now, “It all started a year ago when our friend Will disappeared.”
