The colorwork looked extremely messy before blocking (as you can see) but once i got it wet it immediately started evening out as i handled it, which is how i was hoping that would go. I have yet to discover a threshold of messy colorwork past which a good blocking can't fix.

Anyway. Very happy its done, and it fits me well enough and the length seems good (the hat itself ends right around the shoulder, on me at least), so.

#i'll see if i can take another picture when its blocked and ironed #usually dont do both but i dont have anywhere big enough to block it flat #so its just folded basically.#think i'm probably just gonna try and do this months socks at another time #my wrists are not happy about knitting that hat #i think it was just too heavy. and once i had to switch to circs it got way more painful #bc they add even more weight and are physically more difficult for me to grip and use #which makes me think a one piece sweater is a bad idea actually if my wrists are complaining about this #idk. more though required as always #still have the whole living room to clean :/#stocking cap #knitting #fair isle
