Second round of comfort foods in the freezer — these shepherds pies from @john_morethanmeatandpotatoes . Only thing I changed was omitting the frozen peas bc I just can’t get myself to like peas still. And my husband definitely dumped some extra cheese in the potatoes as he was mashing 🤷🏼‍♀️ . I doubled the recipe then split into 4 loaf pans. We had one for dinner and froze 3 (second pic shows in progress). It was delicious. Tons of flavor and just the right amount of meat vs potato 😋. These kids helped me put together 25 freezer meals, so I won’t need to think about dinner again until late February. I’m grateful to have such enthusiastic and cheerful kitchen helpers. This week definitely lacked on deals. Starting Friday however I will have a long list of goodies to grab. Here are my stock up choices next week!

I’m not planning on posting break downs of the deals because you find those here. If you can get multiple prints for the puffs, this a great stock up price for runny nose kids now that winter is here! I am hoping to spend less than $30 (not including the meat) after using coupons. We don’t often see these low prices for meat in the winter, so stock your freezers now and save the money for the holidays!
