I just watched Rent for the millionth time and I only cried twice!!

THat is a true achievement.

I watched it two nights ago with my drunken pals and sang so loudly I still have a sore throat (not exaggerating at all). I need to learn not to scream. Especially Collin’s ‘WHEN YOUR HEAARRRTT HAS EXPIIRRRREEDDD’ in the I’ll Cover You reprise. Oh god. 

I can however boast that my rendition of Joanne’s solo in Seasons of Love is heartfelt, soulful, incredibly off-key and all around fantastic.

Do you have any gay or lesbian friends? And where can I meet more lesbians?

I'd say around half of my friends are heterosexual, and the other half fall at various other points along the spectrum. Many of my closest friends are gay. If you're at uni you could try joining a women's group or queer club, I know I met a lot of my gay pals through performing arts (surprisingly none through hockey). I don't really know what to tell you for this, as I never met my friends as 'gay people' but rather just befriended them like anyone else and later learned their preferences. Maybe if I have any lesbian followers (Bon, Ruby, Lola, Penny I'm looking at you!) you could reblog this with some more helpful advice?

2. Give me one song and the story behind it.

This is a great question so I think I'll give a few!

Good and Broken by Miley Cyrus - When I went to America in 2007 I listened to this on repeat whilst waiting for a hire car at LAX. I have no idea why or why I remember it, but that song will always remind me of that trip.

Shower The People by  James Taylor - During SWOTVAC for Year 12 I went away to a holiday house to study and I think I'd just put a bunch of new JT on my ipod, and I remember playing a lot of his songs as I got ready for bed.

What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction - I remember this music video had just been released that day and I found it online (probably on tumblr). A bunch of us snuck into Patrick's house with the help of his family, and gave him a little surprise party. I remember showing this video to Annie and thinking how cute they were.

Anything by Bluejuice makes me think of Bonnie because of the private show they did at her house, except Act Your Age because I remember dancing to that at a tram stop one night very late with Rach.

Clarity by John Mayer. This was my 'myspace profile song' for so long hahah and now it's all I can think of.

Seeing Beyonce last night. Sorry Patrick and Ashley, Rent was amazing but you're no Queen Bey.

Demi's entry to win a week at Raw & Peace retreat. She's been through some awful stuff in her life, is currently smashing Year 12 and fighting to recover from an eating disorder and it would be amazing if she had this to look forward to after exams. The passage to Narnia. Also anything I bought in New York pretty much. It's probably sad but my exercise clothes are my favourite things to wear.

No one could make this as meaningful as Snape's. I actually wish I knew what this would be. Maybe some kind of monkey, because I love them. Wow, that was really deep.

Oh god I'm so sorry I never watched Pokemon I don't know a single one

2. What do you most want for your next birthday?

For Georgia to come home, which she is! Also an all-expenses paid road trip across the states would be much appreciated. I'll settle for sea monkeys.

3. Seth or Ryan?

I never watched The OC either I really failed in my childhood/early teenage years. I've seen a few episodes now though and I think Seth is more my type.

4. What childhood hobby do you wish you could still do?

Monkey bars. Have you tried doing those recently??! (Excluding you, fitblrs) The ability to support my own body weight was something I severely undervalued.

5. When were you last surprised by your own actions?

A couple of weeks ago. I don't need to elaborate on that but it was definitely a positive surprise.

6. What is your favourite type of pasta and your favourite pasta sauce?

Nadia you wrote these questions just to humiliate me, didn't you? I don't like pasta. I'm the devil. Moving on.

7. Would you rather be deaf, mute or blind?

Going blind is one of my biggest fears, so definitely not that. I suppose mute. I could still experience and appreciate all of the world, I would learn a new (sign) language and make a nice new companion (my translator). Maybe he'd be cute.

8. Where are you next going on holidays?

Queensland with my main man Kara!! Potentially Byron with Ari if I can afford it but I can't get my hopes up yet.

9. What is your favourite herb?

10. Red apples or green apples?

BOTH. I go through phases. Right now I'm very pro-red. I was finding green too sour so had to make the switch for a while. Summer will probably bring me back around.

agirlnamedboy because she's always been the coolest without trying at all and is just ME. organicallygorgeous because Ajita is everything I want to be in life. Strong, hilarious and most of all, she has perfect eyebrows.  eveningdreams because her parents pay me to be friends with her and I'm hoping this will earn me enough for a cafe bircher later this week. ad-busting not a person but such a good blog. Very important. missnicole because she's like an older sister to me, full of wonderful advice. She also has a fantastic taste in music, is a brilliant writer and will hopefully someday let me crash on her couch in America.

Waggs. He was one of those large Beanie Kids and he was dressed as a dog. He came with a detachable hood and I loved him. THIS is him. What a babe.

This is awful because every time I read a book I think about this but I have an awful memory so can never remember them later. UMMM Dawn from The Babysitters Club, Albus Dumbledore, Jim Halpert, Mindy Lahiri, Liz Lemon, will post more as I think of them... (Oops just realised you only wanted 3)

3. If you could have a superpower what would it be?

To stop/fast forward/rewind time with zero repercussions for anyone. Or something really boring but necessary like make everyone be nice to each other and end wars, inequality, food insecurity and cancer.

I don't even think I need to answer this one

5. Would you rather be the smartest person in the world or the hottest person in the world?

The smartest people are rarely the happiest, and being too hot would just be a burden. Keep me average!

I'm going to europe :) visiting my best friend in england to begin with then hopping around a bit, spending three months in italy doing a language course, then more hopping :)

QUESTIONS

1. If you could have a limitless amount of anything, what would it be?

I know this is awfully selfish, but money would be great, purely because that’s the only thing preventing me from travelling the world right now, and it’s really all I’ve been thinking about for the past 8 months. Other answers include love and muesli (which are kind of the same things anyway).

2. What is one thing you wish you could tell someone at the moment, but just can’t?

I’m worried about you and I’m here if you need me.

3. When was the last time you cried and why?

This afternoon actually, watching Dead Poets’ Society alone in Rachel’s room but before that I can’t even remember!

4. Who is one person who inspires you and why?

Amanda Bynes because she is always classy, dignified and completely sane.

5. If you could live in a fictional world, where would it be?

Hogwarts fo sho. I guess that means ‘Harry Potter’ world.

6. If you could meet a fictional character whether they be from a book or movie who would it be?

Oh wow this is such a big question to ask, there would be one million people that I’ll think of later and right now I’m having the hardest time thinking. I can’t give you only one, sorry! Michael Scott, James Potter and Sirius Black in their Hogwarts years, Abed Nadir, The Doctor, Zack Morris, Kelly Kapoor, Jake from Cheaper by the Dozen.

7. If you had to have everyday either night or morning what would you prefer?

Morning definitely! I could eat breakfast all day long :) Well I already do that, but I could do it without judgement.

8. What colour do you think describes you?

I’d like to hope yellow. I think it’s a bright and positive colour, and it’s my favourite and it just feels warm.

9. What age would you be if you had to stay that age forever?

I was actually talking to Georgia about this the other day. I really loved sixteen… especially since I could belt out the Hilary Duff song and claim it were about me. I guess I’d be missing out on a lot of ”adult’ opportunities but I can’t really know how adult years will treat me until I get there, so for now I’ll go with that.

10. A regret that you had recently?

Agreeing to work tomorrow morning. And Sunday.

11. When you think of love what do you think of and what does it mean to you?

I think love is the strongest connection you can make, or to quote Aquamarine, the closest thing we have to magic. Being in love, and loved, by another person means being the most ‘you’ you can truly be, whilst growing together and bringing out the best in one another. I think there are many many different kids of love, not only romantic love. Friendship love is when you’re not afraid to say anything aloud, and chances are, they’re thinking it too. Love means putting someone else’s needs ahead of your own.
