Okay, I can't really call this a 'new' one because the fic's been out for over a year now (yikes)
But this is Melvin and Blu! (His real name is Philbert, but I wrote the fic before knowing it so he's Blu now)
Melvin is the orange StoryBot that appears in the intros of both ATS and SAT. I named him Melvin because it was quite literally a Captain Underpants reference </3
(I also heard rumors that it's his actual name now?? I don't know but THE NAME WAS MINE! I CREATED IT /silly)
Blu (or Philbert) is that blue StoryBot that periodically appears in both ATS and SAT. They work in the same department
[This is explained in the note of the story but idk who reads that (or this)]
World building! The Answer Department is in two sections. The Upstairs and Downstairs. There's a lot of questions so it makes sense.
Blu works Upstairs with Hap, his assistants, the Answer Teams, and Rose (who makes an appearance)
Melvin works Downstairs with Hub and Bub (who don't make an appearance) and the computer / technically less direct StoryBots
Blu is one of Hap's assistants and part-time inventor. He's not a fan of his job, but it pays sorta well.
Melvin is a receptionist. He handles phone calls, emails, basically whatever his boss is screaming about him now. He loves his job and is overly optimistic
A sun and a moon! Peak ship dynamic.
I love these two a lot. Sadly, it's the same boat as FrankAda where they don't interact ever, so I have very little content </3
I may write another fic with them. I love them enough
(Yes, both of these characters have little to no personality. But is that even surprising???)

So the reason why I made two drawings, one being an animatic, because I'm lowkey really proud of this fic. Also the top one was an image I found laying around.
The song was an inspiration for my fic, which is why I named it that.

This ship is criminally underrated. Have you even seen the Dink and Doink shorts?! Who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers
My hcs for the duo is that they're both tunderes. They're both easily flustered. Dink is an instigator, while Doink tries to defend his hetrosexuality.

Franklin X Ada is what some might call a rare pair. There is no evidence or proof.

Why I ship them? Cause nerds or something. I just thought they would be cute together and whatnot.
Since Franklin has no personality whatsoever, I decided to give him one. He's still a nerd, but he's a socially awkward nerd. He can't talk about himself and freezes up if you ask him something personal. His best friend is Fred, who isn't an oc, I swear. He is the turquoise guy who pulls the lever in ATS. Fred's also a nerd, but he's a nerd in simple machines.
Ada's more developed than Franklin, that's for sure, so there really is nothing I'll add for them. Exept is that I think they're non-binary and goes by they/she. They also have a pretty good in-depth mental map of the archives.
The colors pallette I used was flourish on procreate. It's very soft and nice.
Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed my latest story "Body Planting!" I wanted to make this post to encourage people to share their own ideas about the story and Loraine.
Her past is mentioned vaguely, but I haven't personally outlined it fully. I also haven't planned whether or not her endeavors to win the knitting competition are successful. I'd love to see what you guys think happened or happens to her!
I also really love the idea of seemingly innocuous people with dark sides and pasts. It'd be awesome to see other people's take on this! I think there could totally be more killer elderly people or maybe even toddlers!
