The ga thinks we only hate the finale because byler didn't happen, that's not true, here's the reasons the finale was bad. And these things wouldn't be saved by byler being canon.
We don't know why El recognised Will.
We don't know who unlocked the door (which they said would be adresses IN THE SHOW).
We barely got anything new of Vecnas past, and they never adressed the show.
Lucas had almost no plot the whole season apart from being Max' love interest (and I LOVE Lucas and lumax, but I have to be honest about this).
Call me stupid, but how the heck did Max just walk?
How did Holly just pull out the vine like it was nothing?
They freaking sidelined Erica (did she even have TWO minutes of screen time in the finale?).
What the heck was the point of Will having powers when they barely used it?
The entire final battle. Did it even take 15 minutes? Season 3 and 4 had WAY better battles.
Did they even use the record Mike and Robin argued about?
They basically taught us that if you don't feel like yo belong anywhere and has been mistreated your entire life, you should kys.
Why is the upside down stuck in time?
What's with november 6th?
How is there water in the upside down?
Actually, there's just so much about the upside down we don't know.
What was even the thought behind merging the words together?
If it was that easy to kill Vecna, how on earth didn't he die in season 4?
The mindflayer died by, gunshots?
What happened to the entire thing with Will and Vecna being connected?
What happened to Will seeing through the demogorgons eyes? Where even was the demogorgons?
What happened to the demobats? Did they actually only exist to kill Eddie?
Els talk with Hopper was actually so, so sweet, but Hopper starting to say "when you have a kid" I got pissed.
They had no reason to kill El.
What the heck happened to the military?
If the military survived, did they just let them all go?
Having the only clip in Mikes montage being El dissapearing is so disrespectful to Mikes character, you're straight up ignoring his trauma. What about Will going missing? Will being possessed? Holly dissapearing? His parents almost dying? Him almost getting killed by a demogorgon?
Saying Mike is the only one to understand El is also straight up disrespectful (I get the entire thing happened in Mikes mind, but the ga's just gonna believe the surface), what about Hopper, Max, Will and Kali? Even Millie herself said Kali and Will are the only ones to truly understand El, and if there's anything I've learned after this finale, it's that the cast clearly understand their characters way better than the writers.
What the heck was that st@ncy aaahhh kiss? (sorry I hate st@ncy so much!) If you're gonna write a scene between the two of them, at least write it well💀 can't believe I'm saying mleven derserved better.
Did El even interact with Dustin and Lucas this entire season? We were actually so robbed.
Why is Mike the only one who seems affected by the entire thing? I get some of the epilogue is from his pov, but still?
Why did rovickie seemingly break up? WHAT WAS THE REASON!?
Where was Vickie even in the epilogue, couldn't she at least be mentioned by name? (if the "overbearing significant others" is about her)
What happened to Suzie? Are her and Dustin still together?
This is all from the finale, yes queerbaiting is awful, but even if byler did happen, it wouldn't save the finale!
And I just know this isn't even all the plotholes.
