Kittens my friend gather when she notice the mom hadn't come back for them in a few days.
I know we're all struggling right now, but we found some kittens in our backyard who are really in need of vet care. They can't be older than 2 weeks and there has been NO sign of their mother since we started hearing them cry yesterday morning.
It would mean the world if folks here could share this post and / or donate to my ko-fi to help us afford the vet bills.
Here is one of the cats. He has an infection in both eyes and we've been doing everything we can to care for him.
Here's one of the two of them together:
We really don't want to leave them to suffer alone. The sick guy really really needs antibiotics or he could lose his eyes, and we don't really know how the other is doing health-wise, but outwardly he looks relatively healthy. They still both need to be seen so we can determine what kind of care they will need moving forward.
what i get for trying to free one of the kittens from the trampoline netting. if you don’t hear from me again that means i died from rabies
Really happy about these kittens that visit us every day and hang out for hours. It helps in these times of social suffering 🤟 also great how apolitical they are ! We have a lot to learn from cats
So I'm a dad now.
Yesterday, randomly and implusivly, I took in three two week old kittens.
They were abandoned out at a construction center and one of the employees found them, without a scratch or wound, in a hard hat zone.
Their mother was nowhere to be seen, and assumed to be dead, so I couldn't help myself but to take them in.
At first they hated the car ride, were terrified, and were screaming for their lives, but as soon as we fed them they dosed off.
We were supposedly picking up my sister from the airport, we had a few hours left of time, so we brought the babies to the park!!
Gave them more food ❤ they were mostly content by this point
More sleeping from the bapies
There was a birthday party going on, so they got a lot of attention from little kids and adults alike, because no one really brings cats, let alone two week old kittens, to the park lmao.
I do have cat allergies, so to take care of them I have to take medicine fairly regularly, but I don't mind
They're really happy at my home and I wouldn't wish for anything more than that! I'm so so glad that they're safe, fed, and loved. They didn't deserve to lose momma so early
Their names are Lion, Loaf, and Noodle, and I couldn't love them more than I do already ❤
“Someone left us in this basket on the road!”
“Hey! We’re traveling!”
“Well, this is different from mother’s milk, but it’s very tasty.”
“We love our soft new home!”

Kitten update! They leave on Monday. I’ll be home all day on Friday and Saturday, so I’ve got a little time left to try to socialize Pancake and Beebee; they’re still scared of my hands. Spoon, however, has figured out that hands are EXCELLENT for scritches. To think he was the angriest of the bunch when I brought them home!
