Amanda Grayson of Earth came to Vulcan as an outworlder studying for a teaching certificate. She knew she wanted to contribute to her host institution, but she never expected that she would be willing to invest so much in one student - let alone that she would find herself falling in love with his father. What if her methods aren't compatible with the ways of Vulcan, after all?
