you know how theres all those videos of like. someone playing through a game but with a ridiculous restriction? what if i played through all of arthur's storyline in We Happy Few with the restriction that i have to get to Nick Lightbearer's death as fast as i can and then for the whole rest of the game i have to take his corpse with me everywhere i go (and if it ever disappears due to a cutscene or something then i have to go all the way back and get it again before continuing). would anyone watch that or is that too stupid and crazy
Hello streamers, I want to start streaming on twitch and I was wondering if anyone could give me cheap on a budget setup ideas/links and stuff for pcs and everything else, also any advice u could offer abt the technicalities of streaming would be super appreciated, thank you :)) pls rb!
if you read any of my fanfic, you know that I have a fascination with social media in the Star Wars universe, particularly with how rebels might have used it for hijinks against the Empire. Well, someone in the comments of REBEL Y/N? got me thinking about regular media in Star Wars too, things like shows and films. And then I started wondering if both the Empire and the Rebellion produced shows that maybe combined subtle (or not so subtle) propaganda for their sides?
So what's streaming on Nebflix in a galaxy far far away? I've got some silly ideas:
Orange is the New Grey (Rebel Studios) (a show about Imperial TIE pilots who defect, changing their grey uniforms to the iconic orange, but then have to un-learn all the terrible habits that the Empire taught them while also learning to trust all these strange other pilots. It's tough for the exclusively human TIE fighters to work with the not-always human rebel fighters, the poor kids who taught themselves to operate speeders trying to fight alongside Academy-trained pilots, the constant strain of no resources, former Imps making friends with their droid copilots for the first time when they've been taught that droids are just clever tools and not people at all...) [Currently 3 seasons long, although there have been multiple hiatuses between episodes, given how often Rebel Studios has to pack up and flee before they're caught by Imperial agents]
House of Moffs (Imperial Network) (a show about corrupt but clever and powerful Imperial officers who backstab and kill their way to the top and yet somehow are lovable and charming, so that even while their actions are disgusting and hateful, the audience can't help but root for them. A particularly powerful bit of propaganda that somehow agrees with the popular perception of corrupt Imperial officials while still celebrating them, and subtly reinforces the idea that even though they are not good people, they deserve to have power because they fight so hard for it) [Currently 7 seasons, with a much-anticipated 8th in the works]
Dear Human People (Rebel Studios) (a multi-species group of students trying to get a good education in a premiere school on Coruscant - a school that is primarily human - deals with racism and discrimination against non-humans. Very high on the ban list in Imperial space, but also extremely popular with non-human members of the Rebellion - and the cause of more than one heated debate between them and the human members of the Rebellion...) [Currently 1 season, with a large gap between each episode, because their actors are also rebel soldiers, and they keep getting killed]
Rebel Minds (Imperial Network) (a procedural crime drama about skilled and dedicated profilers and psychologists of the Imperial Security Bureau (The IBS) who hunt down the most dangerous and unbalanced rebel scum. Every episode focuses on the touching yet occasionally turbulent personal lives of these brave and clever men (and the girl one) (because there's always at least one sexy female on the team, although she oddly enough tends to get kidnapped/blackmailed/attacked almost every episode...and the female character is replaced almost every season, usually because the last one has an episode devoted to her realization that "she needs to balance work and taking care of her children better" and leaves the team). The episode's villain is almost always non-human, although there have been some "shocking reveals" that showed the rebel scum was actually an apparently upstanding human male, just to drive home the terrifying point that rebels are everywhere. They could be anyone. Fortunately, the IBS is on the case, fighting to keep the innocent people of the Empire safe!) [Currently in it's 15th season and still going strong]
