Streaming vs. Linear Television
Do you think that streaming services are killing cable and satellite television?
Yes
No
We've got to bring back physical media. Sure paying every month for thousands of songs or films is great, but you're paying forever. I want to own things.
Spotify has removed Mohammed Assaf’s Palestinian resistance hit “Dammi Falastini” from its streaming service.
No explanation has been given, but we know damn well it’s not because of antisemitism.
Firstly, Dammi Falastini has absolutely no remotely antisemitic or violent content.
Secondly, Spotify DOES still offer multiple versions of “Horst Wessel Lied/Die Fahne Hoch” - a famous Nazi march. Including one performed by what appears to be a white supremacist band.

The Spotify statement asserted that 'we anticipate its return in the near future and apologize for any inconvenience caused.'
Now Streaming Jenny's Wedding on Roku!
Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea is streaming on Apple+ Australia and SBS on demand service. It’s the English dub which is even more difficult to find than the French original (Les mondes engloutis), and considered “lost media” to some.
I honestly didn’t think it would ever be streamed intact, so to see it on Apple+ site is a shock. (Not sure if it’s actually the full series I can’t see episodes past the login barrier)
The series a trip, rare to come across, and I recommend giving it a watch if you have access. I recommend even more to set it free on the high seas for ya mateys in need.
Reminder that region locking is bullshit and this is exactly how you get pirating. I would gladly pay for a BD release, or single episode downloads, but companies always make this more difficult than it needs to be.
Seriously this whole thing dealing with Warner Brothers merger tax write-off issue with it fucking over so many promising and potential animated shows including their creators so is sad but also anger inducing. I feel like any hardcore lover or fan of animation should be pissed about this constant shitting on animation creators along with the shows they’ve worked so hard on & put so much passion into to be treated like this, by yet again big-wigs likely out-of-touch executives or by major corporate greed as a whole killing off creativity and any high quality promising content. Just so they can cut production or to make a quick fast buck by endlessly pumping out product after soulless product that is either poorly executed also either has very low-quality effort put into it just so they can have something to easily sell and market towards the massive and try to commercialized off of it. I’m so sick of seeing creators of animated series or animation as a medium always constantly getting shit on & disrespected by those within the entertainment industry.
