The Hand of Noxus approached with an imperturbable and arrogant stride. Before him, the derelict building stood silently, for the time being it was a monument of what once was. The reason for his arrival awaited outside. The former Steward followed through and appeared significantly better than the last time they had spoken. "Noxus follows through with its promises."
It was a complete and utter coincidence that Tybresa had decided to leave her current quarters and step outside the titanic carcass that was the Institute of War, gazing at its imperfections from the outside the way that a flea might look upon its host and think ‘How small I am - and yet, how big a prey I can bring down.’
... that, and she also had received a message by raven from the Grand General of Noxus. She was expecting him this time ... unlike the last time they had spoken.
Even though she had heard the echo of heavy footsteps march across the stone slabs, she did not appear to give it much attention - Tybresa seemed completely absorbed in the view as she stood before the grand entrance of the Institute, the massive stone doors barely standing in their hinges as they threatened to topple over with a crash instead.
It was his words that ended up crashing against the edge of her consciousness, however, finally drawing her attention away from whatever thoughts the former Senior Steward had submerged herself into. She turned her head to gaze at him from the corner of her eye, the fringe of her now short-cropped blonde hair falling before her vision like a protective curtain before she would flick it off with a brush of her fingers.
Tybresa turned to face him, her expression blank and stoic - indeed, she looked quite different than the last time they had spoken, and felt like a completely other person now. Looking back on it now, she had come to regret the harshness and bitterness she had inadvertently thrown his way then - and while she hoped that a moment for an apology would come sooner or later, she did not let it show on her person now.
There was no reason to turn things into personal matters when there was nothing personal to assume about it.
“I expected no less. Noxus is a worthy ally, and her Grand General - a wise man. We should probably head inside. I imagine you have much to tell me.”
