I haven’t been uploading any small comics lately because I am slowly working on a longer story. Which I am very excited about and stressed. But during the christmas period I did make some more small things. Like this fun little comic.

 Someone asked how I come up with ideas like this… and it’s just my daydreaming head. I have no clue. That’s why I don’t know if I could make these consistent. But I love these. I am manifesting that more ideas come to me!

Its hard to get accepted in highschool, Especially when you start in your first year with rainbow hair. Arcus has a hard time fitting in. Iris, Maud and Gale slowly start to play a bigger roll in his life but not only of the good reasons. This is a Drama/Comedy/Romance, I donno where to place this. I wich every now and then.

Here are some pretty pictures from the exhibition we arranged with our class Beeldverhaal at LUCA School of Arts. The whole room was filled with beautiful, finished bachelor projects, sketches and making off’s. There were 2 big picknick tables in the room where every visitor could sit down and read every little book we presented. We also had an opening which got nice and busy. I even had to show some school groups and do a little talk haha. 

Thanks for everyone who came down or who showed interest in my book ‘Beeld van klei’. I still have some left, let me know if you want one!

Here we have my cover and flyleaf for the book about my dog phobia. It is called "Ze doen niks, hoor!" Which translates to: "They don't do anything, really!" The dogs I've drawn here are some of the breeds that I find the scariest. And yes, Chihuahua's do terrify me.

Whenever I speak about comics in my surroundings and people still respond with: ‘wait… aren’t comics for children…or nerds?’, I feel the utter need to let them know this important message: Comics are cool! You just haven’t read the right ones yet. Let me give you a personal recommendation so you will say that indeed, comics are cool!

Me and my collective 5-PanelBeeldenstorm always love to go to KamperStripspektakel. It’s a fun, outdoor comic festival. This year, me and Vick gave comic workshops at Bibliotheek Kampen and got to present our new comic book Stripsgewijs. Somehow teaching feels very natural but presenting the book was scary to me! Vick leaded this presentation with his natural charisma, it helped my nerves a lot. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a more “business appropriate” picture of me but this hopefully makes me even more #relatable.
