Marathon #12 was a BEAST, but I used the love & motivation from each and every one of you to dig deep and FINISH! The tears flowed, but a dear stranger gave me meds during Mile 17 and my entire race was saved. I cannot thank my family, @supertorio & my @tedysteam family enough for pushing me through some tough times. This #Boston weather is no #AprilFools joke. Rain & sleet this close to race day (16 days) meant I hid on the treadmill for my 10 miles! When it is windy as fuck and real feel -11 degrees out, you channel your #StrokeHeroes strength & push through 15 tough miles. Honored to be a part of @tedysteam & helping to #FightStroke. My hip/knee were not on board for the 18 miles I planned on, but I celebrate what my body was able to do. 37 days until the @Boston marathon & my 12th marathon (4th Boston with #TedysTeam). #WOMSStreak #Day827: 16-treadmill miles on the 6th anniversary of back surgery. I missed the @tedysteam group run because I wanted to play it safe with my recent hip pain. I broke the 16 miles up into 4 4-mile sessions. This included at least one @sparkleathletic/@procompression outfit change. ;) But I kept my #StrokeHeroes with me each step of the way! While in Thailand I took the bus from Karon Beach to Phuket (16 miles) for 35 baht ($1). One afternoon, this thug & his tuk tuk charged me 300 baht ($10) to take me to Patong (5 miles). Chupvat! The "bus" was made out of truck parts, a couple of pews, and soldered together knick-knacks in a wish that the bus may not fall apart... Maybe, I should have taken the bus to the airport...
