I love the trope discussions on your blog! The only trope mentioned that I don't believe could have potential for me is the always a girl!trope. I've seen it in several fandoms and it seems to be centred on one character in the fandom. Stiles in tw and Harry in HP f.ex. I just don't understand it at all. The second most difficult to make work is the secret bun in oven! Much can go wrong and the secret keeper can end up looking (unintentionally)like the asshole in the situation.

Ha! I used to think exactly the same about girl!Stiles. And then I read In Sheep’s Clothing by Twisted_Mind aka @queerfictionwriter and it completely blew my mind!

Same for the secret baby thing, although I have read some great ones where Derek doesn’t know. I do have a soft spot for some where Derek comes back years later and there’s suddenly a toddler in the mix, but, like you said, it’s very hard there to make Stiles not look like an asshole, considering he knows what pack means to Derek. But I am reading a WIP at the moment that I am loving. There’s no baby yet, just a pregnancy, and the world building is phenomenal:

Had my first proper haircut since March yesterday. @saranormand did a decent job before, but the talents of the best in the biz @cainochmann smashed it again. . As you know, I haven’t been out and about much since lockdown started unable to risk my health. This was my first proper (among other people) trip out and I did it because @stropsbarbers have made loads of effort to make getting your hair cut there safe for everyone. PPE for staff and customers. Thorough clean downs between clients. Really careful and thoughtful. Big shout out to Josh the owner for the work he has done here. . My head weighs less than it did yesterday under all that hair and the pasty white skin (it’s not grey hair, (that’s been shaved off)) will get a chance at seeing some sun. . Proper company.
