A Third of the Way There

Officially, I am a third of the way done with my Master's degree!! OMG. I'm 33% of the way there to calling myself a Master of Nutrition for Global Health.

This is a milestone in my personal life. For the first time in 23 years, I spent 3.5 months learning to live by myself, how to navigate adulthood, and so much more.

My takeaway from all of this. I feel that the biggest fear is actually getting started. Those anxious thoughts of Can I do it? how will I do it? If anyone is reading this and feeling the same way, take it from someone who has no real-life skills, you can do it.

Also on the last day of my last class of the first term, I lost my lunchbox on the bus. So... a great way to end the term!

Winter Studying Challenge: 1st December 2020

'Do you like winter?'

I have mixed feelings about winter. I find that some of the most uncomfortable sensations come from winter namely that feeling of hot breath water vapour on your scarf on your neck, or that feeling of overheating when you've run for the tube. But at the same time winter is so much calmer, and I find that I dont have to worry about my body image at all. It's a relief from summer. I'm growing to like winters crisp mornings and a good excuse for a hot coffee. X Emily

I got a sepia pen for my bullet journal sketches and it has been life changing A goal for this year was to go to new museums and exhibitions I hadn't visited before in London and you can all guess how well that tuned out. I did get to the Natural History Museum (been before) and the Wallace collection (a first for me) and adored the Wallace collection. It was just lovely quite and a calming atmosphere. I really recommend if you haven't been before. 🍂🍂🍂

Hi! I'm Kia and I'm an Archaeology major (1st year undergraduate) in London!

Why I started this blog:

I'm gonna be honest- while studyblrs have always inspired me, I felt like making one would lead to more procrastination (lord knows I have enough of that already). However, I decided to give this a go since I'm in my second term now (In three days actually) and who knows maybe this will actually motivate me! Hopefully! Also, I've barely seen any uni level and Archaeology studyblrs out there so.

I love plants but I have the opposite of a green thumb

I love making friends but I'm shy

I took a course in tattooing during my gap year

Honestly, mostly random shit. A lot of motivational/ inspirational posts and reblogs. I'm aiming for a white-blue-yellow aesthetic but we shall see. Also posts about how I approach studying and like general life. Quite a few posts on Archaeology (do I hear memes) too.

Winter Studying Challenge 2nd December 2020

What is your favourite thing about winter?

I think it's the days out. Frosty walks where the grass crunches under your feet, or trips into central London to go ice skating or to see the lights. Every year my mum drives us from our house to regent street so that we can drive under the christmas lights. We usually park up in Soho and have a hot chocolate from a thermos and a mince pie. It's my favourite family tradition. X Emily

29/05/2020 I received an unconditional offer from the University of Westminster! This is amazing. I can’t believe all of the hard work on the applications paid off so well. 

I guess this is becoming a postgrad studyblr! I will probably be making a studygram closer to the time! xxx Emily
