I really like studying with the help of software because when it comes to maths very often I do not know what to do and how to start. But I noticed that I still need to write my equations on paper because otherwise I could not understand.

While this worked, I found that as I started to take upper division courses I couldn’t keep up with what my professors were saying. Starting my freshman year, I decided to take advantage of Google Drive through my RMail account. All of the notes I take are typed up on Google Docs, which means I have three years worth of notes all in one place! Besides Google Docs, Drive includes a feature to make Powerpoints, spreadsheets, forms and drawings.
The best thing about Google Drive is that you can search any word and it will filter all of your documents down to the ones that feature whatever key phrase you looked up. When studying for finals and digging through your notes for an answer, this search feature saves so much time. For any document or presentation you create on Google Drive, you have the option to save it in 6 different forms, including a Microsoft document and PDF.
