07.04.21 - It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here, but so much has happened since my last update. Like most students, half of my spring 2020 semester and the entirety of my fall 2020 semester were done virtually. Just like that, I graduated with a Bachelor’s in political science & Spanish! Even though I finished a semester early, I still trekked back to campus this May for the socially distanced, in-person graduation they were having for us. The sense of closure for such a formative period of my life was necessary. As one can imagine, the job hunt is not pretty right now…. I’ve spent the first half of the year working part-time and doing volunteer work at a non-profit I’m part of, as well as taking the time to strengthen my mind, body, and soul. After an unsuccessful six or so months—and loads of rejections later—I’ve finally secured a job within my field. (To those in the job search right now, I SEE you & HEAR you. Don’t feel discouraged and don’t let the imposter syndrome get to you, because you are qualified and the right opportunity will find you soon!) In the meantime, I’d like to see more lawblr content and follow more lawblr pages. If you’re a prospective law student or are currently in law school, please give this post a like or reblog. I’d want to get a better understanding of the law school experience and see what y’all are going through! - xo, Mary
