How to Deal With Being Overwhelmed
I heard this tip from a professor I had over the summer and I find it super helpful whenever I have something big that’s stressing me out.
1. Place your hand directly in front of your eyes. Imagine that in your hand is everything that is stressing you out at the moment, whether it be tests, relationships, personal issues, etc
2. Breath in for a count of 4, and as you do so, move your hand farther and farther away from your eyes until your arm is completely extended.
3. Hold for a count of 4. Take note of where your hand is now, how little space it takes up in your field of vision. Focus on the other things in the room; the color of the walls, the feeling of the air, the sounds outside.
4. Breath out for a count of 4. The things that are stressing you out right now can seem so immediate and overwhelming, but remember that it only makes up a small fraction of your life, and there are so many things left to look forward to.
5. Repeat as needed. Remember, you’ve got everything well in hand.
Hey, it’s been a while! 🦋✨
I’m at my last semester in uni, which is daunting and scary but hopefully I’ll be able to stick to my schedule and resolutions, incorporate some good habits in my life. I’m also going out of my comfort zone by taking some creative writing courses, are any of you interested in writing prompts? Maybe we can make it a thing and do them together. Let me know x

I find it easier to summarize information onto sticky notes and paste them in the textbook rather than writing notes when I get closer to exams. This forces me to understand and condense the topics.
Hope you had a productive day! 💙
