it seems I only post at the end of each block but I KILLED my endocrine/reproduction final and I’m still really excited about it :)
we started psychiatry this week, and I’m freaking out a bit because it’s my last block of pre-clinicals. It’s so difficult to believe I’ve made it this far!
a simple morning
large pot of coffee, to sustain me through an (actually p good) discussion of a journal of the plague year
-7c in oxford today ; can’t even be mad it looks so pretty
9/8/24🌿🌿
Proof writing notes~
I have a research conference I’m presenting at coming up and I’m feeling stressed about it lollll
I think today I have felt the happiest and most peaceful I have ever felt in my life, nothing particularly happened - it was an ordinary day, but within it I sense a strong new foundation for how good life could be
hello 2025 🪻
really struggling to focus 🫠
10/10/24🍃🍃
Proof writing notes again!! This class is fun but there’s daily homework and a quiz every class so it takes up the majority of my time studying (ー ー;)

[Image ID: a screen capture of a passage of text. The text reads:
I value the fact that English has two parallel vocabularies - the Germanic vocabulary and the Latinate vocabulary. For example, we have the word undersea, and then we have submarine. Or underground and subterranean, all-powerful and omnipotent. So we can shift registers. We can say something in a very plain, blunt, Anglo-Saxon way, like "I will not do that" - all Anglo-Saxon monosyllables. Or we can say it in a fancier, more distant, abstract, Latinate way, like "I prefer not to permit myself to approach such a notion." Or, in a passage of plain Anglo-Saxon, you can throw in one Latinate word, unexpectedly, to great effect.

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
