I have been feeling rather soiled over a feel good show being frankenstiened via poor writing and charactor direction. The whole scene in S7 ending with the team looking up to see Mark back looking tearful, was a shock as I was expecting Charlie to walk back in, then we have how Sarah was told and that was so matter of fact and blunt, that I thought that is not how you tell someone their loved ones gave gone, why the sudden change in delivery? Mark showed more considerstion to Charlies boss than Sarah. Then the shot to the red car on Charlies desk. That was what put me off watching the show. The production wrote it like that because they wanted Charlie the charactor dead, and John out for good. So now there is a 180, they are going to have to retcon that he was presumed dead. In fact the team as I have got to know them would NEVER just accept that bit of news ever. Joe would of sent a team out there with Rex to find Charlie. Also rather than send Mark they would of sent a team with Rex. So that in of its self makes no sense. The poor writing really showed, and it gave out a lack of respect for Charlie as a charactor.
I now feel weary about how the story lines are going to play out, are we going to see split up our beloved couple and keep audiences hooked to see if they get back together? Have an akward work conflict going on between them and the team trying to help fix their conflict? Or have Sarah forget how to be grief related angry and just fall into Charlies arms?
I mean the lack of how realistic the scenerio of a cop going out to a foriegn country alone and taking on a personal situation that could be dangerous is breathtaking. First off it is a conflict of interest, they would need to get the mexican authorities involved with interpol.
I am also anticipating a certain banshee kicking off about Johns return. I think also LRs has been groomed a bit (love bombed) by her and she might triangulate between the dog and the two leads. (or former)
