I rarely see Aliya acknowledging another gymnast that is not from Team Russia, so this moment is golden. Plus Larisa defo wins the sportsmanship award in gymnastics! 😊
I feel like people need to stop freaking out over Aliya's performance this weekend. She's had a long year, and there's no reason for her to bring her A game to such a relatively unimportant meet. Gymnasts train very carefully and strategically to peak at the ideal time, and this is not that time. That being said, I do think she looks tired as always. I think she needs a real coach and some rest to pull through to Rio though. And no injuries. Pls gym gods no more Russian injuries
