Dottore: Damn, the power went out. Subject One: Don’t worry, I got this. Subject One: *shakes rapidly and starts to light up* Dottore: What-? Subject One: I swallowed a glow stick! Dottore, on the verge of tears: WHY WOULD YOU-
Sequel to Other Side of Omega. Life was hard enough running from Cerberus with her turian friend, but now the ex-Cerberus experiment Athena finds herself struggling with remaining human when the Reapers start arriving. Dreams and a fear of death bring Athena to the edge, and without Aria there to help her, she might submit to the synthetic side of her as the voices grow stronger.
As Athena’s time on the Normandy draws to a close, EDI has a gift for her.
"You needed an answer, right?" -Ichi
"Ah, if it isn't you, miss. Are you ready to tell me what you will do? And please, let's not make this into a violent combat. It isn't ladylike to fight like this."

The clan doesn't allow any experiments on living dragons or even hatchlings. Which meant, it was totally okay for Connlaodh to experiment on dead hatchlings. Well, if he had told Ladon about it, he probably would have said no to all this. But Connlaodh got the dead hatchling before he had any chance to speak to Ladon. At least, that's what he told himself when he started his little experiment to bring the hatchling back to life. And bringing him back to life he did. It was an exhausting journey, sure, but in the end his technology was advanced far enough that after a few days, Subject One came back to life. The other dragons find him intimidating and weird, to say the least. He has all the physical features of a dragon - he sure enough looks like a Wildclaw with a very strange color combination, he can talk and fight and think for himself. But he just doesn't have any physical needs. Subject One doesn't need to eat, or sleep, or pee for that matter. He can just work at every hour of the day. He just doesn't get tired. The other dragons find this strange enough to avoid him most of the time, but Connlaodh is proud of himself and multiple times was already caught calling Subject One his child. Which is weird - after all, Subject One doesn't show any sign of emotional intelligence as well.
