One of my favorite headcanons (if Cas and Dean had ended up together on earth, human):

Dean does everything in his power to push Cas’s buttons, to make him annoyed and grumpy. And when he pushes Cas to his limit, he then tries to make Cas laugh. He thinks it’s so funny when Cas is trying to stay annoyed at him but the angel is also trying to hold back a laugh. Dean sees it as a challenge. And a challenge he always wins. He knows his husband thinks he’s adorable and he uses that to his advantage.

And Cas knows Dean does it on purpose. He tries so hard not to fall for Dean’s shenanigans too, but the man is so infuriating. They have known each other long enough to know each other’s buttons.
